Help, Virus's And I Dont Know How To Get Rid Of Them.

Agreed with Muel, if your computer is that infected it'd be much easier, and safer, to completely wipe it out and start fresh. 'A virus' is a very broad term - you don't exactly know what they are and how they operate - whist you can get rid of the main stuff, parts of it may still linger and slow down your system no end. Unfortunately its not as easy as deleting Im_a_virus.exe -
Not worth the hassle - If I delete them I'll just get emails for friend requests, so I just leave it and don't bother going on it at all

I like the idea that Twitter doesn't appear to be full of idiots - I never go on facebook anymore simply becuase I have to read about the lives of the jobless, young single mothers. Same shit everyday - discussing ethics of this mornings Jeremy Kyle, latest developments on when her kid has thrown up, shat itself or kept her awake all night, highlights of 'hez a fukin wanker' regarding the latest guy to f**k her and then f**k off and finally news feeds of the latest 'court threats' towards her ex-partner about a law which doesn't exist.

Good point, although when are the 250cc available? I thought it was 16 although it's been a while since I've glaced at the ACU handbook. If it is 16, I'd still go for the 250 for the sake of a few months which he could spend practicing and getting used to it before competing.

All of the above....of course it's going to be f**king second hand If he can buy a 2010 Sherco on a paperboy wage, I'm quitting my job now. Not to mention, if you're kinda new to riding you'll end up smashing the hell out of it (if you ride it properly) - so little point in spending a fortune. I wouldn't bother with a 125cc for second hand - I gather your in your teens, and the benefits of going up to 250cc outweigh the cons. You'll get used to the power in no time and on a 125cc, you'll just end up wanting more power and you'll have to go through the process of selling a devalued bike and making up the extra dosh to fund the 250. So why not go straight to 250? As for websites; Trials Central Auto Trader - Hit the 'Bike' section MotoMerlin - Depending on where you live? Gives you some idea at least. Other than that, I'd recommend Ad Mag, TMX News Paper (if they still produce that shitty thing). Last of all, if you want to keep it, ride it only where you're allowed to. Not suggesting you wouldn't but I keep seeing people on trials bikes riding on roads and basically being idiots - gives riders everywhere a bad name and trials as a motorsport seems to be dying out as it is...

To be honest, I wouldn't like to watch Top Gear for anything remotely interesting. Lets face it, James May is the only interesting one on the show - the other two are just wankers who'd be out of ajob if it weren't for Top Gear because theres no way they could host another show and not come across as a pair of talentless retards. If you like Top Gear but want to watch something more interesting, I'd recomment James Mays series (Big Ideas, Toy Stories, and even James May in Space which was excellent).

Borat, sounds to me there are far, far too many issues here and with minimal information makes it difficult to see whats wrong. You could try hitting F8 at boot up and within the Advanced Boot menu select 'Start Windows Normally' - if this fails then see below. I've never known a fresh install to boot into safe mode, usually points to a dodgy CD, dodgy installation or a hardware issue Peronally in your situation: 1. Find another computers and download all the drivers you'll require. I'm not sure how you've been getting the drivers but if you look on the bottom of your laptop you'll see a sticker with something like '3823-7TG' - this is your model specification. Lenovo product several variations of the T60 laptop with minor differences. If you put in the exact model from that label on the lenovo website (right hand side) it will only detail the drivers you NEED. There is no need to download everything on there, just the bare basics to get your system running and then you can add more later on when you need them - basics being ethernet/wireless, video/graphics, Bus controllers. When you've downloaded them stick them onto a USB stick. 2. Put in the XP disc blah blah blah, delete the OS partition and reinstall it. 3. It should boot up without any issues - if it's not then its fairly safe to say it's disc error or perhaps even a hardware error at the extreme side of things. As you've made this XP disc yourself, I'd bet it was the disc. 4. If you managed to boot up, install the drivers one by one - ethernet/wireless first so then you can at least get onto the net and troubleshoot other problems further. 5. Install the rest of the drivers - monitor the Hardware Manager (Control Panel> System> Hardware) and look out for any yellow ? marks - basically either the driver isnt installed, not installed correctly OR an incorrect driver. Unfortuantely, without seeing the laptop first hand, we're pretty much playing guessing games. If you really wanted to you could send the whole thing to me and I'll have a look - or take it to a shop.

At the top of which page? If it's referring to backing up IBM Tools itself I think you can safely ignore that unless you actually use any of them in your day to day workings. My of the features of IBM Tools are just third party applications for Microsoft functions (i.e ThinkVantage Connections is just an advanced way of profiling wireless connections, unless you're moving from office to office on various wireless networks, you'll receive no additional benefit from TVC), Microsoft Wireless will handle all that perfectly fine. IF you do need to download them, they're available within the Lenovo website - usually under the category of what you'd use the programme for, for example TVC is under connections or you could download the entire suite although my gut feel tells me this would be a waste of space as you'd never use most of them IBM Tools isn't a requirement for IBM laptops or Windows OS.

I saw all this on 4chan, pretty funny. Especially the video of her dad freaking out at the 'little pricks' lol. "I backtraced it!"

Blimey. Ok, well a post of a stolen bike is going to relate to approximately 0.00002% of this forum....worthwhile?

Won't work. The last one didn't, why would this be any different? It's a nice thought and all, but what are the odds of, using you example here, a bike being stolen in Inverness and me seeing anything of it in Derby? It's good for the 3 or so riders that actually live there, who would most probably all know about it anyway... Sure, a couple of sucess stories from getting stolen bikes back, but in all honesty I think those were done by hard work and a lot of searching (ebay and the likes)....

When you downloaded this driver, I assume you opened it? Sorry to state the obvious here, but the Lenovo driver packs unzip the drivers to a defaulted location - C:/Drivers/Blah blah blah. When you open the downloaded it should display this - copy it, go to Start, Run and paste the path into there. Usually the driver packs are broken down into OS or environment - Go to WinXP or whichever is the closest to your OS, run the setup folder if there is one there - 99% of the time these do not self deploy on the unzip with Lenovo stuff, you have to start it manually. If there is not one there, you will have to go through the Windows route of directing the search to the specified path where the drivers have unzipped to. Should be a peice of piss really, we have about 50 T60s and T400s here and never had a problem with them!

As we've stated. Above is a pretty good step-by-step guide of what you need to be doing Ps. I wouldn't waste your time emailing IBM - they have a lenovo forum which is far better.

Ermm, on a fresh installation of XP all you'll see is the Recycle Bin on the desktop, by default. Or do you mean there is no task bar or anything like that? If when you boot into windows and you press the Windows key on your keyboard, does the start menu pop up? It could be that explorer.exe is failing to boot - so either a problem with the registery orrrr a failed installation. 1. Have all your drivers been installed correctly? 2. In Task Manager go to Processes, is explorer.exe listed there? 3. Go to Task Manager, Run and type regedit - go to Local Machine>Software>Microsoft>Windows NT>Current Version>WinLogon Within there you should see an entry called 'Shell'. Double click it and ensure explorer.exe is within the dialogue box. Post back

I went down on Saturday, was pretty good! First time I've ever been to an airshow, impressive stuff. Although I spent the majority of the day feeling ill.

This may be the issue here. You can use this method, however in the past I've got around it by entering the BIOS settings and changing the drive from ATA to 'Compatibility' - and then change it back when the drivers are available and installed

My dad just bought some BR player with built in HDD, also with USB input. What we've done is stuck a ton of music on the USB stick which we can navigate through easily, and can also download movies onto the hard drive, with external HDD optional for more space. Also came with 5:1 surround sound. It was only really purchased for music, but obviously comes with the HDMI interface for BR. I can get more details if you want?

Mmmmm, some right yummy boys on there. Ohhh, I could just eat them all up.

The drive has a 24 month warranty. However you need to figure out if this is a defective drive or a problem on your system. First of all, I'd just uninstall it completely and then reinstall the drivers. If it doesn't work after that, give them a call and request a replacement

Checked the cables? I'm guessing this is a SATA drive considering it's only a 6 months or so old. I find that SATA cables losen easier than the old IDE interface - just make sure its fully seated and maybe try it in a different port. If the power is there, the draw etc will still open and function, but with no sata the data wont send and so it won't be recognised. If that doesn't work, do not purchase any lens cleaning fluids. Just go to your supplier and get a new one on warranty, I imagine you will get a 12 month warranty with this, although I could be wrong. Pretty much depends on how much you paid for it.
