Afternoon, Myself and 6 other colleagues will be taking part in a bike ride in order to raise money for Children in Need. As part of the Bosch group we have a target to raise £125,000 across all UK companies to celebrate 125 years of Bosch. To help try and achieve this we will be doing a Coast to Coast bike ride of 135 or so miles from Whitehaven to Sunderland on the 27th and 28th of August. We have setup a justgiving site for this, if you could please donate anything you can - it would be very much appreciated! Clicky Clicky Many thanks! Matt

Windows Firewall? If that is the case then I would turn off the Windows Firewall and use an alternative, however your router may have a firewall anyway...

I'll try my best to explain it... Ports allow data to be sent/received to an IP address, having a port means that you are able to access the same IP in more than one method, a good example is browsing the net (port 80) whilst reading email (110) at the same time. So, you have a basic network place, Computer A, Router, Internet. Internet--->(81.134.24.33)<---ROUTER--->(192.168.1.1)---><---Computer A(192.168.1.102) Because nothing outside the Router can see the internal network, it will send data to the external IP Address (81.134.24.33) to be processed by the router, in turn this will then send the data to the appropriate computer on the network. Port forwarding is generally used when NAT (Network Address Translation) is not available, so you must then define a port in which data will be processed through, and an IP address to and from. For example you can assign something to go from 83.XXX.XXX.XXX (external) on port 834 to 192.168.1.102 (internal) on port 834, all data sent from this address will go through port 834 and your router will relay the data to the computer on your internal network. Also note that ports can only be used by one port at a time, most routers will acknowledge this but some may not, if you have conflictions it will either a) not work, corrupt any data. Hope thats clear - easier to explain with a pen and paper drawing!

It's not a proxy you need, its a VPN. You can use software such as LogMeIn pr PCAnywhere (google them). Alternatively you could speak to your ISP about a static IP address (at an annual cost!) and simply setup a VPN Dial up...works very well in a server environment however you may have trouble with a home PC. Probably the third party software would be best. Also it is important to remember you can only go as fast as your, and your parents internet speed - documents, music is fine....games or video I'd forget it

I wouldn't recommend it. I'm sure it will be possible with a little research, however you have to keep in mind that you'll be pulling data from that drive to play the game...USB is quick, but not that quick. I predict you'll experience a bit of lagging, possibilty frequent crashes/hangs. Keep in mind that when you install anything it has to write entries into the system registery - which is why it is better to keep things local. If you install on the external drive then the program doesn't know where to locate the additional files as they're not local to the drive...and of course your USB doesn't have a registery. As I said, there may be a way.... Buy some external speakers...end of. The speakers in your laptop will be cheap basics and are limited, most probably, to avoid damage and distortion. I've never seen a laptop with what you'd call 'great' sound play. You can pick up some speakers pretty cheap these days, even the tiny mobile ones if you want a boost and aren't too concerned with quality.

Stuck/faulty pixels are a bit of a grey area though - unsure if this is the case with this screen, however you will often find that manufactures have a percentage loss depending on the size of the screen, this can be up to 8 pixel loss before the screen is deemed to be faulty. Each manufacture has their own tolerence, but usually the cheaper the monitor the higher the tolerence.

Maybe Currys, but do check the manufactures warranty - depending what you buy (or how much you pay) these can be up to 3 years. Hence why I cringe when people take out 'extended warranties' at PC World on a computer that is already covered by the manufactures. In my experience HP are pretty good at faulty returns - however you may have to talk to a robotic Indian for 3 hours first. For a hint, control the conversation, do not let him sway off track otherwise they never understand the problem and you'll be fobbed off with driver issues.

Surely this cannot be compared to Cherynobl; that was a fully functioning plant, I assume the one in Japan was shutdown at the first sign of an Earthquake?

My Hardcore Sluts calender ended in December 2010...the world didn't end then.

Thought it was odd...accoridng to the Derbyshire version its about a woman who burnt peoples dead dogs, but instead just dumped them in the woods and gave the customers an urn full of random ash.

I'd agree that you're better off putting your hands up and sorting this out...5-6 years worth of interest, missed payment fees is going to be pretty shocking - I wouldn't be at all suprised if that lumped another £2000 on top of your loan. Also to keep in mind; bailiffs will charge a fee - they will charge you just for them coming to knock on your door. However, most people will speak like its the loan company who are the bad guys, as you unfortunately know this isn't the case - so the best thing you can do it make the effort with them and they may well be prepared to help you out too...but if you haven't paid a penny for a couple of years you may be beyond the 'friendly terms' bit. Good luck! Ps. The chances of them knowing your new address could be slim - Loan companies to not have direct access to any databases containing such information, thinks like that have to be applied for, possibily through the courts to justify a reason for obtaining it. However, this isn't to suggest they don't have the information already.

Theres a topic in NMC which is a guide...many obviously can't be arsed to read that, what makes a flash page different? Besides it looking a bit better and slightly more mong proof?

8/10 - I have a great job doing what I love, a fantastic girlfriend, no debt, car... Only things that would increase this rating would be a place of my own and perhaps a trials bike.

Channel 11? I think most wireless devices default on this channel I don't know how you'd even go about fixing it - if your TV did it how would you do it...unless you were a specialist you couldn't, and I doubt you'd find the answer on here. Of course this may not be the GFX card - could be the monitor, cable or even motherboard. I'd recommend testing a different cable, different monitor and if possible a different motherboard. You could use the on board (if possible) graphics card as a temporary solution though.

You would be better off writing down your requirements and possibly speaking to others a similar trade to see what they use. I'm not sure on your current state, but building a desktop is simply not an option for business. Failure rate is too high for my liking, no warranty, no 3rd party support (most won't warrant a hardware support contract if the system is a home build). Of course, just my opinion IBM ThinkVantage Connections Pretty handy, also shows scans on a chart by signal strength.

Is it? Could you honestly give an example of when it's been permitted and 'accepted'? I couldn't, and I don't think many people could. The thing is when it involves women it's overlooked and society has it that men are just expected to get over it - sure, probably the first time, but when it happens everyday because someone text you who she doesn't like, or because you're 5 minutes late home because of the traffic it would begin to get a bit tedious. Hitting her back just isn't an option on two accounts; one, you're dropping to her level. Secondly, as I pointed out, men are expected to get on with it - goggle domestic violence and you'll see they're all support sites for women. My gut instinct is that IF a case went to court after punching a woman because she'd been hitting him everyday - it would more often that not take the side of the female.

Might be difficult if there are kids, mortgage or other debts involved thought. However, I'd like to think if I were ever in such a situation she'd be on the doorstep - but of course this isn't always a reality. To be honest you'd better send him this link, I doubt there is much to offer on a forum full of teenagers...

Is leaving her, moving out and disconnecting her not an option?
