  1. Tyke Trial Club Championship Rounds 1 & 2 - Better late than never, here are the wriet-ups of the first two rounds of the Tyke Trial Club Championship, held at Shipley Glen (13th March) and Harden Moor (3rd April). Jack Carthy won Elite with just one point at both events!
  2. Jack Carthy at High Wood Farm - A superb video of the young Koxx & Tribal Rider Jack Carthy, filmed at the first round of the British Trials Cup at High Wood Farm, near Brimham Rocks, which he won with just 7 points on his card.

    Jack Carthy

You have to be 16 to ride in the Worlds in Junior category and 19 to be able to compete in Elite; Jack has to ride in Cadet at the World Youth Games until then. Not long now! I can't wait to see him compete in World events against the top international riders! Just watched this again, despite seeing Jack ride regularly, i'm still always impressed by how good he actually is. It's hard to appreciate just how short the run ups were and how high and/or technical the rocks were form that video (always the way with comp footage I find), but they were very short, very high and very technical! Not often you see someone who can go as high on his 'bad' side as he can on his good side either!

    Jack Carthy

Quality. Jack is improving so quickly, he's the don! Can't wait til he's old enough to ride the World Cups!
  5. I didn't get sunburnt, no. Borrowed some suncream from Jed's mum which saved the day. I have very 'delicate' skin tones, so usually get burned no matter how careful I am, so it was a nice change not to this time!
  6. 20" Elite: Sam Oliver couldn't make it and Rob Poyser had to leave with Danny Butler who went home early. 26" Elite: Jack Carthy 1st, Joe Seddon 2nd, Tom Rigg 3rd. Not sure of all the points, but I know Jack finshed on 7(!). It was a great trial - I really enjoyed myself! Perfect weather, great sections, great turn out! Bring on the next one!
  7. Crash Test of the Ozonys Cannibal V3 - Tribal Zine recently tested the latest incarnation of the Ozonys Cannibal. We took five riders to Buthiers for two days of testing in order to put this V3 monster thoroughly through its paces!

    Clean 001

That was rad. Nothing more to say.
  9. Cool! Be good to see you! Weather looks good for Sunday (well, sunny intervals at least!)
  10. That IS interesting (and geeky)! Worth knowing though, for sure!
  11. As Dave(s) said, you can just turn up and watch if you like, but if you're going anyway, why not bring your bike along and have a go? The deadline for entries is now passed, although if you're very quick you may be still able to enter online. If not, you can enter on the day (it'll cost you £5 more, so it's worth entering beforehand in future!). You don't need a licence to enter the nationals, insurance etc. is covered by the entry fee. If you do decide to have a go, have a look round the sections and decide which route looks right for you. If it turns out that the route you choose is to easy/difficult, you can move up or down, provided you make the decision before you've ridden more than three sections. If you have any more questions, just approach anyone at control or look out for me on the day See you there!
  12. Rad Fest/National there in July, there'll be plenty of people driving down from this end of the country; I'm sure someone would be able to fit you in!
  13. Jamie Williams April 2011 - UK Tribal Rider Jamie Williams has sent us his latest street video, in which he lands some big hooks, one of which could have ended badly if he hadn’t been wearing his helmet. Jack Carthy at Harden Moor - An impressive video of 14 year old Jack "The Clean Machine" Carthy, filmed by his unclie at the second round of the Tyke Trial Club Championship at Harden Moor, where he racked up 15 cleans on his Koxx Sky 2! Neil Tunnicliffe Cutting - Neil Tunnicliffe recently publiushed his first street video of the year, and as usual it is a monster! Hardcore music, hardcore riding, as we've all come to expect!
  14. More info, including entry details, directions, etc. now available on Tribal Zine
  15. First round of the British Trials Cup - Brimham Rocks 17th April - just under a week to go! - The first round of the British Trials Cup will take place this Sunday, 17th April, at Brimham Rocks in North Yorkshire. Here’s all the info you’ll need to enter and to get there.
  16. Yep. If you enter now and can't make it, your entry fee will be refunded in full, provided you let us know beforehand. Cheques aren't usually cashed until after the event.
  17. Most events, including international events, can be found on the Biketrial Federation events page: here.
  18. Yep, 8th May I'm free. There's a Tyke Trial on the 15th May.
  19. That suits me; I needed to let some friends know if I could join them in Leeds this weekend, so I'll do that! I currently have both of those weekends free, so either is good for me. K-124 Days is on over the Easter weekend however, I don't know how many people who may've been going to this will be going to that - Robin?
  20. I'm still up for this if it happens. However, as I haven't heard anything about this for a couple of weeks, I'm considering making other plans. If it's postponed, provided it doesn't clash with any other dates, I'll still come.
  21. I've not heard anything for a while - starting to wonder about making other plans for the weekend...
  22. Hi Alex, You might want to try www.trialportugal.net. There's a forum on there - click the link near the top right. Hope that helps!
  23. K-124 Days - Not Long Now! - K-124 Days 2011 will be opening the international season is less than a month! Here's the programme for this 11th edition of the festival and some details about what will be going on...
  24. Hi all, Yes, had plenty of catching up to do. I decided it would be easier to distribute membership cards at the Harden comp as it's so near. If anyone would like to know their membership number between now and then, email me at membership@biketrialuk.co.uk and I'll get straight back to you. Otherwise, just leave it blank on your entry form this time and we'll sort it out at our end. See you all on Sunday! Ben
