  1. Jack did win Elite Danny retired from the comp early though as he felt that he needed more riding time (there were queues at a lot of the sections due to the high turn out) and went to tarain off-section. It would've been interesting to see how they compared!
  2. Some pretty good pics in there Dunc I'll be in touch with your dad soon! I had a great day yesterday, really enjoyed the sections (and the weather!) and it was great to see all the new faces! It's obvioulsy been a LONG winter though, I'm aching all over and the lack of training really showed yesterday
  3. Cheers for the offer Ben, I'll pass it on. However, I think he's after a whole week of structured training (like the Trial S'cool in France for example; I'm not sure that there's an equivalent in the UK, which is a shame) and that the main reason for it is to practice/learn English with the added advantage of it being trials related. If anyone's interested I may suggest the idea of an exchange to him, whereby his son comes and stays with an English family (preferably with a trials riding son of a similar age) and then take someone in. This would be down to a family being willing to put him up though...
  4. I've received an email from a Tribal Zine reader in France enquiring about summer trials schools in the UK for his 15 year old son. Do any UK clubs/teams put any summer training weeks/weekends? If anyone can point me in the right direction I, and he, would be very grateful!
  5. There's planty to ride in Sheffield. It's getting a bit depleted what with all the new buildings and stuff, but it's there if you look for it Popular with the TGS bashers, but there's a lot of nice lines about as well. Sorry - back on topic - I'd offer to put you up, but my housemate has three of her friends staying all this week so my house is chocca
  6. Haha, even the Dudwood Farm dog is better! That video was the nuts - demoralising and inspiring at the same time
  7. Yeah, at €600 it's certainly right at the top of the price range! It's a shame, if he'd priced it a bit lower it could have been very popular!
  8. Introducing the Kabra F24 The English translation is now up on Tribal Zine, with an exclusive interview with the frame's creator, Juanda de la Peña.
  9. Introducing the Kabra F24 - Juanda de la Peña presents the first production models of the Kabra F-24, which arrived in Spain at the start of the month. Interview and exclusive photos this way !
  10. I first started riding trials when I had a 22" Giant Alu Comp Then after a while, once I'd got the bsaics down I bought a 14" GT Tequesta and gradually modified it (with money form my paper round, so it took a long time!) into a 'proper' trials bike. When the headtube snapped off that I I replaced the frame with a DDG Shooter, followed by a Saracen X-ile. From there I went on to a 1st gen Koxx Levelboss and then a few other modern trials frames. There are photos of most of my old bikes in my gallery, it was cool looking back over them all!

Sam Oliver signs with Rockman and Trialtech - Top UK competitor Sam Oliver has signed with some new sponsors for 2010 A Closer Look at the Inpulse R20 - Info, photos and a full spec of the new 26" from fledgling brand Inpulse. The Belaeys in the Middle-East - Kenny and Wes have been out East, putting on a series of demos to promote cycling and tourism. Galleries this way!
  12. If you fancy checking out some UK stuff, give DJ Format, Phi Life Cypher, Foreign Beggars a listen. If you don't mind French you might want to have a look at Iam and Le Peuple de L'Herbe (these are a bit dubbier). Ozomatli's album by the same name is cool also - features Chali 2na from Jurassic 5
  13. Come along and give it a go! I'd recommend entering intermediate. As Cahill Trial Kid said, get there in good time and have a look at the sections to assess the level and see if you think you can manage; you can move up or down a class on the day as long as you haven't ridden more than three sections in the clas that you initially entered. Day membership for first-time riders is £3. You can only do this once, after which we require you to join the club as a full member (£10) to be able to ride in the rest of the trials. If you've got any questions about membership or about the trials themselves, drop me a PM
