  1. I'm pretty sure MG ZR 160's had a system like this - it was a butterfly operated by a vacuum line controlled by the ECU (think it was rpm triggered)
  2. I can't see this thread going anywhere productive. I don't understand why people (who haven't been arsed to read it all wont let it die)
  3. Yup - I suspended him yesterday. I can't remember if he's banned from this topic, or this subforum... We'll find out in a couple of days!
  4. Enough of the 'banter' If I see any more 'banter' posted after this post (in any thread) I'll whip out the banhammer.
  5. Just a polite reminder for you all:
  6. My stance is that TRA has contributed significantly to the forum and the sport. It'll leave it to Danny/Tom to decide whether they wish to remove the topic.
  7. Quit the stupid arguement. If you don't like the price, don't buy it. You can't make meaningful comparisons between mass-marketed media and niche market media.
  8. You didn't look at the date on the posts either...
  9. Enough of the "banter" (in the loosest possible sense) Keep it OT and tangible.
  10. If you want to advertise, contact banners AT trials-forum.co.uk
  11. Might be worth putting a grievance in against him - ask the store for details of their grievance procedure.
  12. Think this has reached a natural conclusion. Congratulations to all those have been warned. I don't care if it wasn't you - you let someone else use your account = your problem.
  13. I'm looking for a shorter stem for my 24 - currently running Easton EA70's which I'm happy with, but most of the stems I've seen are 31.8mm clamp, but my bars are an old school 25.4mm. Can you run a shim between the bars/stem or is this asking for trouble?? Ta Jon
  14. Pretty sure when I joined, you had to top up £10 to begin with, but you can use £5 of that to buy a goody bag...
  15. Enough bandwagon jumping already. He's been warned.
  16. LROB87 stop being so hostile. You clearly re-read your posts and decided they weren't appropriate so you edited them. Next time do the thinking before you click 'Add Reply' and you wont get such a bad reception.
  17. He's refused my 50p refund offer. I've escalated it to a claim, given all details and said I'll refund £20 if he returns the backbox as it's by no means scrap. Will be curious to see how Paypal handle it... Beginning to wish I'd accepted his offer of £35 via Paypal gift (which you can't dispute/refund) Jon
  18. It's not through ebay - it's through a car forum (from which he's now banned!) It annoys me that he's already talking crap to Paypal - says he asked about the condition of the exhaust 5 times, when he only asked once, which makes me think he'll say anything to Paypal to get his way. I've never had a dispute outside of ebay before
  19. Has anyone ever had dealings with Paypal outside of ebay? I sold a 2nd hand exhaust - centre section and rear section for around the going rate for just the centre section since the rear has a big hole in it. Hole was documented and photographed. Seller has filed a significantly not as described dispute and wants half the money refunded. He says there are lots of other holes and a crack. Has anyone any experience of this sort of thing? I've responded saying the large hole is the only functional problem with the exhaust and that was clearly described. I've offered him a 50p refund! Any thoughts?
  20. It says here in my rule book no pics in sigs. It also says don't piss off our customers who pay for advertising banners (which pay for the site) by pedalling your offal.
  21. Re: Your report. The reason Tom is 'telling you what to do' if because he is the admin of the site.
