Building My Dreambike!

Those wheels are awesome! Did you build them yourself? By far the highlight of the build! There's a decently sized FR, XC and Jump scene in my area, I've also seen a few Crank Brothers headsets fail. When it comes to headsets something so simple yet effective like the Echo SL seems the first go to option surely?

Wowowowowoooooowowowoooo, Wtf is that stem?

There flat bars, you could achieve that amount of height with more spacers (1x5mm idi)

Apart from that, very nice :).

The stem is normal size, and then it got clamps wich "rise" the bar 35mm..

Here is a pic of the bar aswell.. i dunno what you call them, but looks like rise to me ;)

picture1754_Syntace.jpg

This stem/handlebar setup have the same "rise" as my Trialtech Highrise stem and Rockman Karbon handlebar. Measuring from the tip of the handlebar when the stem is put flat on the ground.

throw that headset in the bin, there shit!

i had the freeride one it was rubbish, save yourself the dissapointment there shite

Can't just throw away a new headset! :P

I have never had any problems with headsets, i will give it a shoot.. but i expect it to fail eventually..

I don't bother to build myself.. I get the wheels straight, both up/down and sideways.. but my impression is that TartyBikes wheels last me MUCH longer..

Guess i tension some spokes more than others, and this makes the wheels fail..

Have you used that Avid caliper before? I found my silver ones great, but the newer dark grey / black one was flexy and shit.

Other than than, looks like you know what you're doing (Y)

yeah, i have used the caliper before.. My toughts are exactly the same.. the grey ones are much better!

But i will give it a shoot. Abit flex have never hurt anyone ;)

These pedals wil last you for 3 months max. Only cage pedals that will last more are try-alls but they'll give up in a year or so to.

Other than that, looks epic! Good luck!

I'm going to change them because of the axle seem to break avter a while..altough, i have used them for atleast 3 monts! Looks like i'm lucky then ;)

Bits look nice!

If you can, dont grind the rear rim. At least take pictures of the bike before you do.

Would be nice to see it raw too! Dont paint it! Again, if you do, get it the same as Fortehs frame - Signature Triton!

Fortehs frame is shotblasted with glass or beads i think! And not painted :)

Would love it in raw..but i feel it will be a 2500£ ghetto bike then :P

You're a tool for getting those bar and stem.

Why? :P

They are SOO much stiffer than a Trialtech Forged stem with a carbon handlebar, or even a good alloy bar!

Offcourse, this is not important since the Ti frame will flex more, but it feels alot better on alloy frames then a normal stem and handlebar combo!

Now that Trialtech have given out a carbon handlebar.. i might change it if i have the extra funds to waste one day :)

Syntace bar/stem combo is still the shit(used it for many years, would still do if they had a bar with a more trialsy geo) - I don´t trust anything more then their stuff! Everthing they make is great. Their often loughed at trials frame with the valve on the downtube was below 1,7 kg - 10 years ago . nearly undestroyable. Dominik Raab raped one for 5 years...

Have a look at their new pedals - titanium spindle. under 300g. 3 different sizes; recommended rider weight up to 140 kg. 10 years warranty. ordered myself a pair last week... expenisve...

Triton frames are awesome - I have one myself. Don´t take internal cable routing though.

Aye, mine is bead blasted/ball burnished and the logos laser etched I think, the colour is natural titanium. If you had it raw it would be a similar colour (although a touch shinier I think) but with the welding HAZ discolouration around the joints. I love the raw welded colours, but I also love the matte grey burnished finish :)

Either way, I'm really looking forward to seeing this finished!

OUH, thats now my dream pedal! Holy batman, thats luvly :D

My frame will have no special features like internal routing. i like it simple!

Whats the problem with internal routing? Guess its a bitch to get the cables trough..have internal on my XC bike. I cant bother to use them, just use zipties and put then under the toptube :P

Its going to have horizontal dropouts with screws to tension the chain..that the only special thing.

You don´t know much about syntace products,do you?

I love syntace.. the trials frame they made is still one of the most amazing frames i have ever seen! Would love to have one soo much..there is one somwhere in a garage in norway, not beeing used.. but i dont know who has it.

my logos will just be polished :) Going to look good. Altough, right now i want it totally raw. With discolouration around the welds and everything.

Can't wait to see this one, nice burns dude ;)

yeah, i love the burns :D thanks to you, the bike have good cranks, and no tryall/rockman shite :)

Bought myself a new bike today aswell! Met a old mate in the supermarket, and he offered me to buy my old bike.. My first trials bike ever! Will post pics tonight.
