Turned my Onza bash ring into a half ring with the aid of an angle grinder and a file.

And put them on some new cranks (172mm long!) felt weird at first but I think i've easily adjusted to them on one ride. But saved 230g from swapping cranks.

how are the brakes? x

I always thought maggy 2011's were flexy but these are really really solid feeling! Just need some decent pads on it :)

The Born ones, i've wanted a set for ages.

Plus 172's on a mod are a bit hench your gearing will be a bit gash :/

It rode perfect tonight :)

Always ridden 170's on my mods and had no issuesss, long cranks are so good.

Running 175's on my 24" too.

Sending that parcel off to you tomorrow btw. Got it all wrapped up by the front door :)

Nice one our kid

Done some more stuff to the bike waiting for the new BB to come :) helicoiled the maggy mounts to M6 and cut down my steerer to make the front end look a tad neater!

The old helicoil was coming out, shoddy job done before by someone!

Drilled out with the appropiate drill for the m6 tap set

New thread done with the tap

Helicoil inserted and the new bolt fits yay!

Got some new mounts but they were black and silver mixed and matched so I dropped the whole clamp in a tub of stripper, this was the result the next day. The paint just peeled off as one haha, brill :)

And finally the steerer cut down :) tapping the BB yolk and putting new tryall BB in today
