Cheers brotha from another mothaaaa. You have to drill the hole bigger initially, then tap it with the provided tap then you screw the insert into the newly tapped thread. This insert now acts as a smaller screw thread for the m6 bolt. It's such a simple yet useful idea. The threading on the helicoil is such that it doesn't screw out when you undo the bolt which is ideal! You love that Raw dont you Dan! Doesn't feel too short so that i'm cramped and not too long so it doesn't feel flicky. I've never had a bike that sits so well on the back wheel too, think thats due to the bar/stem combo.
