Amazing, that to me is what trials is and comps on stuff like that on normal looking bikes would be epic.

It's a point of view. There are different disciplines in riding and therefore different types of specialized/modified bikes to make life easier. If following your logic then dh riders, for example, should also ride 'normal looking bikes'.. but they don't. In my opinion, there is a slight difference between street and trials and I don't get people using normal looking bikes to ride trials with. For me street riding is all about lines and spins (not that I know much about it). It's like a continuous motion where you want to overcome obstacles in a spectacular way like showing off with your style/skills whereas trials is more static and is more about size and efficiency :)
