Hello, I'm getting pretty sick and tired of 2-bolt magura's, they really don't like me and are quite annoying so i thought about my options and saw this:

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com//Models.aspx?ModelID=1269

I only have one query, would the bolt's tighten into the black parts on the left, if they don't then this would not work an i will be sad.

So i am asking, do they ?!

Thanks alot

I always thought they were a waste to sell them with the mounts. My friend has loads of them, as he didnt use them. There arnt that many non alu frames clicking about, and there're not many people who have actualy welded them on, i think.

That makes absolutely no sence to me mate.

Unless you have a steel frame, then these won't work for you....

What frame do you have?

Welding/brazing steel to aluminium is bloody hard.

I'd stay with the 2 bolt Evo adapters or go to a rear vee brake. Don't start cutting the vee mounts off, thinking you can convert the frame to 4 bolt. If you do find/make some 4 bolt mounts in aluminium for the frame, and weld them on, you ruin the heat treatment of the frame and it'll end up cracking.

Good luck in even trying. It's not hard it's impossible  (Y)

just what i was gonna say.. lol

ive used the braze on kit twice,, once on my first custom frame.. they worked great!

and secondly to make some 25" to 26" monty brake adaptors..

thay are good..

but if you have an ALU frame is a deff NO!

i have also converted to v mount ALU frames to 4 bolt..

but cutting the 4 bolt mounts off an old frame or fork.. then welding the ALU MOUNT TO THE aLU FRAME... BUT ALUWELDING IS DIFFICULT AND EXPENSIVE,, SO IT YOUR CHOICE..

They're not made specifically for trials you know?
