Absolutely Stupid Idea!

It wouldn't be worth the hassle of getting them to work together and plus disc brakes these days are more than good enough and so are maggies with a good set of pads. Theres no need plus it extra weight and one more thing to leak and brake.

It has been done before, and it did work, lots of modulation and a nice lock, but it had all the downsides. You still had to keep the rim clean and true, and the disc could still be clouted on a rock. Plus it weighed, or felt to weigh, a lot more than you'd imagine.

He is/was a user, Ryan is his name on here I think. It was a hell of a long time ago he did this, he used a magura louise caliper and hs33 slaves and lever. To give you an idea of just how "good" it was, it lasted about a week and he scrapped the idea.

Wouldn't you have to pull the lever twice as far to get both sets of pads to engage?

While we're in the mood of throwing overkill braking solutions about, why not have several sets of maguras on one wheel. Or just weld the wheel so it can't spin.
