see this grinds my gears. You admit you know nothing about him yet have instantly judged him. I feel that certain people have done an excellent job of vilifying him by using half quotes, generalizations, grabby headlines etc which would make people new to him (or those who don’t follow him closer) get a fairly foul and wrong impression. This is my issue with the left, it’s been tainted by hate. Charlie never hated…maybe disagreed but never hated yet he was still killed and I’m mad about it!  

Until you posted I had zero knowledge of the guy other than he is another gun death statistic. My very basic search left me a bit baffled as you’re right, I would class you as a kind decent human being, but the main headlines for this guy are views that are incredibly right wing, intolerant and quite frankly dangerous. The way you posted made me think that I was missing something, but I’ve not found anything different, so if I’m missing something please tell me?  If politically that’s what you side with that’s fine, I’m not going to persuade to become a lefty liberal. I can understand how you might in that scenario respect someone like that - to get in the position they were, and promote the things they believe in, sure. But I just don’t understand how you can call any of those behaviours nice. Strong - sure.  Hardlined yes. Like did he also do a shit load of charity or something?  So to be honest I still don’t understand your original post and still feel like I’m missing something.  

Trialtech are still very much a thing… but stock levels are pretty low. Trialtech / Inspired had a stand at The Malverns Classic back in August so still have a presence 😊

no, I can lead a horse to water but I can’t make it drink. It’s not my job nor need to make you change your mind. I just know that I saw plenty of evidence for me to come to my conclusion. I’d like to think that I’m considered a kind decent human and if someone like me can see good in Charlie then perhaps he’s not the monster some people would have you believe he is.    

I think it was the "genuinely nice human" part that shocked people in to replying. You could agree with some or all of his opinions, but I don't really think he sat in the "nice" category. Getting shot for an opinion is crazy though, nobody deserves that.
