Yeah, seem to have had bad luck injury-wise over the last month. Hopefully that'll be it for a while! Still I managed to get a video of my riding over the last year edited (including the silly crash where I broke my rib - doesn't look very impressive though). I'll try and post it on here when I get round to it. The rib is almost better now so I should be riding again very soon and now I can hardly feel where the nail went in

I think trials is quite an individual sport where each rider can have what ever style/fashon they like.

I went to the walkin centre and got it checked. The nurse said that I didn't need another jab and I should just keep an eye on it. Still best to be on the safe side and get these things checked though I suppose. Thanks for the advice

Thanks again guys! I've just been speaking to my dad who recons I had a tetanus booster 7 years ago when I cut my fingers in a food blender (as you do). So I should be ok - I might go in to the walkin centre tomorrow morning (early while its quiet) just incase. I've read that the incubation period for tetanus is an average of 8 days (depending on how far from the main circulatory system it is so for a foot it's probably a bit longer) so there's no mad rush. The main symtoms are jaw lock and back ache. F*ckin hate nails - I'm usually so careful too. Cheers.

I think I have but it has been more than 10 years. Would be nice not to have another - I hate injections.

Thanks, It wasn't a clean nail. I'd probably best go see the doc then. Dammit. Is there a time frame that you need to get the tetanus jab within? (It happened last night). I'll try and get down this evening but I may have to make an appointment - I could always go to A&E but would probably have to wait hours. Thanks again!

Last night I stood on a nail in a peice of wood. It didn't go very deep into my foot and afterwards I squeezed it to get it to bleed (thinking that if there is any crap in there it should bleed out), cleaned it and put some savalon on it. Today there is a little discomfort when I walk on it but it doesn't really hurt much. I've heard of people getting tetanus(sp?) jabs for nails in feet but I havn't done (thinking mine is very minor). The nail only went into the fleshy part of my foot, not deep. What do you think - Am I ok to just leave it and keep an eye on it? Or is it essential to get a tetanus jab? If I had just cut myself while riding (eg. shin dig) I'd probably think nothing of it. Cheers, John.

I find it depends on the situation. A pedal up will get me higher, but a static is safer as it carries less foward momentum. As for scratching your bike, sooner or later you'll just have to accept that it's a trials bike and it will get scratched IMO.

No cracks in mine (touches wood). I've had it maybe 8 months or so and it does get a beating. Lovely frame IMO.

I warmed the tube in warm water first - seemed to help. If it doesn't work you can always re-cut it and try again. It does seem to be a bugger of a job though, good luck.

Mine took about two weeks I think (no more than three) but was probably a fairly minor crack. Just see how it feels and dont push yourself untill you feel comfortable.

Building a PC is much easier than you might thing (well I made one). I built a music PC a few years ago (my knowlage is a bi rusty/out of date) but it was just a pentium 3 ASUS motherboard with basic hard drives graphics card etc. I got an M-Audio Delta(?) 1010 sound card. It's pretty good because it has 8 analogue ins/outs (then 2 digital hence 1010). At the time I decided it was best to have two hard drives, one for programs and op system, one for data (music files) rather than one with a partition - I don't know whether this is still advisable. I'd advise trying to leave the finnished system as clean as possible ie. don't install loads of games, surf the net etc.
