  1. Anyone going the night before? Fancy chippin in for a cabin?
  2. I went with a 73mm BB shell this time so as to give a massive tyre clearance for the big Conti D Macs so there was a bit of come and go if the tyre had a bobble in it...which it doesn't so its all good. The bigger shell obviously means less chain ring clearance but I sorted that by having my granny ring tabs machined down by a couple of mm. Jobs a good'un.
  3. Change that CNC jobby for an XTR carbon booster and you're onto a winner.
  4. Possibly a change for the future. Its still not 100% as I want it. Waiting on my 15mm end caps for my front hub to get the Ti bolts on. Going down to 180mm ice tech disc on the front. Chop steerer. The eagle eye will have noticed the lack of top plate on the head set. Miss-placed but works as is for now. Once fitted it'll mean there will only be 20mm of spacers on there.
  5. Updated geo. Tapered headtube. Wider bb allowing for bigger tyres. Shorter dropouts. I've still to come up with a bash arrangement. Still on the drawing board at the moment.
  6. Sounds like it'd be the same as a road rim calliper on a V brake lever.
  7. Bash tabs off, chain ring tabs 2mm off to clear the chain stay a bit better. Not sure on what to do about saving my chain ring... UCI street?
  8. Yes! As for the frame. Will it be stickered up as a Trial Tech frame? Suppose we will find out in due course..
  9. Feck knows what it is but I just cant get a good brake set up with the Avid Hs1 rotors I was using. Shame because I really like the look of them. Back to the Ice Tech ones now and the M810s are preforming as they should again.
  10. My girl friend had some work to do at a uni out in Lima for a week and had an open return flight home, so I went out to meet her as she was finishing with all that. I only had one day on the mountain bike then the following days consisted of trekking towards Machu Picchu (not on the popular Inca Trail I might add). We were late on booking and missed out but I think we actually ended up walking a better trail, called Lares Trail. The views were spectacular. After MP I spent two days with the man himself in his workshop doing a spot of filming with him. I also met the locals, who thought it was as funny as f that I looped out trying to back hop, since the brakes were on the wrong way. In fact, I think they might still be laughing now. Cheers boys
  11. "haha, look at all these twats spending fortunes on marketing", Said Mr Hope man.
  12. Anyone know who's bike they're fitted to?
  13. Looking like we will be up the night before. Trying to scout some others to come along too to make up the numbers. Gotta keep Kev happy Edit. Hopefully have Gordons cousin, Raymond, coming too.
  14. I was impressed with he sheer quality of the footage. Couldn't tell you about any of the 'lines' though. Good to see Eirik picking up the Echo sponsor. Seems like a cool guy.

    Films!?

Watched Casino again on the plane on the way home. Love that film.
  16. Well, you know, I didn't want to be too harsh but I did think that. Good man, get on it.
  17. No doubt is in the top 10 riders in the world for having the coolest style. So individual, with having no front brake. You've pioneered the rear brake only style, Luke! Video was class, well filmed and the tune fitted very well too.
  18. looks like all the riding advice ive been giving you is working in your favour Really like the pop you have in your 180s but I think maybe being able to hold it better on back wheel would take your riding to the next level. Being able to hold it @1.27 instead of dropping the front wheel would have improved that line imo. Saying all that, I actually think you rode all those spots like a local. Was it Luke who filmed? Not once did I think, that shot could have been better, so whoever it was, well done. There was loads of good lines but i think my stand out line was @1.00 so good job on that. So glad you went for the black bars in the end. Off for another watch.
  19. The legend returns for his first comp since Canada!
  20. Punctured doing hooks while I was filming, couldn't be f**ked by that point. Fire that thumb up yer ars.
  21. New rims I've had for a few weeks now and loving them.
