  1. mineral oil is the official substance meant for it,there are a few offering about from shimano to monty and each feels different so experiamentation can be done.i've also heard of cooking oil being used but meh to that. water is also used alot as it give a very light feel to the lever and is inexpensive to use,but. . . it voids warenty, occasionally it damages seals in the brake wich isnt good and it requires antifreeze during winter to stop your brakes from icing up .

  7. i think mines a avid sd7 ,and i use it with a tesco cable and its a bit nice if im honest and cheap too
  8. can i advise not to drill throught the tree branches as this could potential cause it to die back and fall apart,your be better of tieing stuff to the tree with the widest rope possible. and oww yeah,watch out for tree badgers ,a bloke at work lost a finger to one last month
  9. i have retrieved my riding companion from retirement and he's coming along too,and if people think im a basher then you should see this guy lol. by the way ,i may join the ride at half eleven as i got to get a stupid train instead. steve
  10. i dunno what i was expecting but i wasn't expecting them to look how they do ,im currently undecided on my view of the look of them,any chance of other pictures of these forks on different bike? cheers,steve

  12. hmmm,the rotor should be ok as your on a mod,is everything nice and clean?possible contamination?
  13. it can take a couple of months for the brake to work well,what size rotor does yours have buddy?
  14. reds and cousts on grinds with cnc backings are very good,and red on a smooth rim are good too.
