  1. Wow.....pretty strong response from you guys! I've done three people's designs so far, and continuing with the rest now. Must remind everyone that the limiting factor is the amount fo material available to me, so it is first come first served I should have all the designs completed for the people that emailed me by around 6pm if all goes well.
  2. Shit bolts, too much torque, too short bolts, rushing.
  3. And if the magura was designed to have a braided cross-over...washerless clamps...longer blades...cnc'd pads...ti hardware it'd come standard, oh...wait It's an improvement for us trials riders...we're adapting an XC commuter brake for the best possible performance in trials, ergo there have to be some differences in what we want from a brake. Light lever feel is hardly important for commuters or tandem riders is it? There are no real ill-effects from water bleeds...I must have owned around 10 maguras now? All water bled...all worked fine until one or two cracked / got cannibalised or got sold.
  4. No worries, I'll cehck through my email tomorrow, and get some designs ran up by tomorrow night....sound okie?
  5. Done it....works great Got this set-up on the front of the coust, hammered it all day today and no issues what soever. Simply file the top part of the mount down until you don't need the plastic washer...keep testing them together
  6. Okay well drop me the designs and ill see what I can do tomorrow It certainly would....email me what you be wanting alexdark2(at)hotmail.co.uk
  7. Well Done good choice my man
  8. Should have stuck with the Cousts Ermmm...maybe a sharper lighter grind
  9. Really does matter...even on street I wouldn't sacrifice grip for weight any-day.
  10. Those BB's are pretty much disposable items unfortunately... I recommend getting a Shimano UN52 or UN72 if you can find one. Sure it's the BB?
  11. New front stock tyre is ridiculous money...the old one was quite a lot but this is ridiculous. Fek all tread too! But is it anywhere near as grippy?
  12. Used to have one...they work fine is all i can say, didn't feel hugely heavy.
  13. I certainly can...even have an RB booster ready made for the occasion email me with a sketch of what you want, like a picture roughly edited...what font you want, and if you want holes or just recesses etc and ill model something, and send it back your way shortly.

Truth.... You seem to be out on a mission to get one...so try it They're hardly the worst bikes out there after all. 125 x 25 with stackers maybe?
  15. That would be fine dude, I can make them to pretty much any spec...even out of brass if you want ermmm maybe a drilled Trialtech sport style?
  16. Spray the rear rim white....and sort out the frame paintjob Powdercoating is a waste of money I reckons.....you'll get bored of that frame eventually, and the £30 or so powdercoating won't be worth the money you get back on it. Just rattlecan her
  17. Yup ran one on my pitbull for yonks like that... Be better than new..stronger
  18. DO NOT DO IT....the welding will massively weaken the frame if you don't later get it heat treated back to the original U6/ T6 temper. In short, leave the frame as she is, or buy one that has bash mounts.

Felt similar to the a1 long high bb...didn't think it was that similar to the GU for some reason though? Blatantly bar and stem combo define it though....
  20. Meaning he prefers rim brakes over anything~? God knows.... For light weight: try-all hole front ri, Onza pro diamond rear Average use: Trialtech square hole rim, Trialtech rear Heavy bashing: Echo TR front and rear
  21. Bionic python copy.. £48 from BTS...to buy a similar frame over here, think Zona Zip probably £150 odd? British economy for you...weak pound and high import tax
  22. I can make some spacers on the lathe if you really need them...and bolts can easily be bought off ebay so if lots of people want them and can pay a tiny bit extra I could supply bolts too
