  1. Brakes play a massive part in how a bike feels overall. Personally, I love my 24, but I'm biased to that, and i'm only 5ft 10/11, so maybe a stock is more suited to you.
  2. Nice ride yesterday considering the rain. Invite folk
  3. I just clout the shit out of mine with a hammer until they're roughly on, and tighten the headset... pushes it on 9 times out of 10

  12. Right: 1) unbuild your wheel 2) cut 2 slots either side of the whole but be careful on how far you cut 3) snap out with molegrips - this makes the square 4) file it neat 5) run the file across the top Word of warning though, if your erd isn't deep enough it won't work
  13. What you got dude? after something light like a shwalbe tabletop
  14. It's a really easy process to be honest. I don't recommend doing it in your bedroom at 3am and then trying to sleep though. Might do the pedal cages soon.
  15. Just weighed the offcuts, 100g, plus a fair bit of filling would probably be about 120g. The cut outs saved around 100g too. Just been for a little play on it, feels heavenly in every sense.
  16. Just a hacksaw and a file. I'll put up a pic of it before sanding, you get more of a feel for the method.
  17. I suppose. The rear rim is the only modifying that's gone down on this bike. Just after some new tyres now
  18. Realised I don't stop working on this thing, will update pics as progress is made in posts rather than this starting post. 08.06.12: singlewalled rear rim modified rear rim sanded both rims tnn mounts front maggie caustic soda'd the forks, headset, axle washers, crank bolts, bb spacers
  19. I've done 4 frames like that now. It's a case of nitromors, wire wool it and then wet and dry. I always polish it up after with some silvo. Can be done in about an hour and a half start to finish if you crack on -
