  1. I did just drive it until one of the heat shields fell off, but with this one I decided to sort it out. One mate suggested you could do that with the AA this morning but he wasn't sure and I was skeptical, surely they want a cooling off period? Either way if that's right I'll just go with that plan.
  2. I have no idea, I just heard it was the thing to do when owning a car? They are silly reliable, but it is a 17 year old car with 70k on it so you never know, everything dies some time... I have very little experience around cars, so I'm not sure what even happens when you break down. I'm guessing you need to phone a man with a truck to come and recover you, but how to you find such people if you're (as I will be tomorrow) 150 miles from home? I fixed a rattle today by jubilee clipping a heat shield up against the exhaust, like a boss.
  3. Doesn't offer it as I have a graduate account. From looking around they all seem to cost about £85 a year... Is that worth it over just finding someone willing to recover it if it all goes wrong? Never had cover on my bikes, just got on with it.
  4. Can anyone recommend which breakdown cover people to go with? Ideally I want someone who will take me home, not just to the nearest garage or whatever. I hate the thought of other people working on my car.
  5. Form looks totally fine to me. Legs overpower back slightly though by the looks of it so maybe switch to stiff leg deadlifts for a while.

Errmmmm... I've done both for years and came to the exact opposite conclusion. Climbing is an outdoor pursuit and is about adventure and pushing your climbing level. It is not all that healthy, it absolutely hammers your joints and can be very dangerous. Gyms are only for sports, not sure how you see it differently. You go there to get healthy, fit or strong. Climbing definitely doesn't serve the same purpose as the gym. They're totally separate things in my life, and going to the gym is actually more enjoyable to me. It's closer, it's easier, I've achieved more and it makes me feel better. Everyone should try everything and just do what they enjoy. I like lifting heavy things at the moment.
  7. Been there a few times. Average. Manchester in general is so shit. Everyone has an attitude and it's too busy and all the buildings are too tall and close together and it makes me feel like I hate my life.

Yeh, every cloud has... ... ...too soon?
  9. You didn't mention straps. This displeases me. This is not worthy of entry into your PB list. Raw or it doesn't count!
  10. Oh for f**ks sakkkeeee, not this b*****d f**king thread again!
  11. For beginners, everything 3 sets of 10 IMO, starting very easy and increasing as the weeks go by. Don't be tempted to go for either high volume or high reps in the beginning because you'll only injure yourself. (I've had several injuries from doing both). Concentrate on the big lifts IMO. A good beginner routine to stick with is deadlifts, squats, bench press, overhead press and cable lat pull downs. Start with bar only (20kg bar) for each and add weight when you need it. It's really important to learn form properly and to see what your body is like and your personal weirdnesses. For example, most people prefer to deadlift barefoot but I use the same shoes I squat in which have a solid heel and a heel lift, most people find this sets the bar too low in relation to their shins but I have very long arms for my height (5'10" tall, 6'2" arm span), so it puts me in the correct position at the bottom of the deadlift. Read lots on the internet, go try things out, then read more on the internet, then try it out again. Lifting really can be approached as a science IMO, which is one of the reasons I love it so much. Every workout is an experiment for me.
  12. 24UK was the one bike I never owned that I always planned on owning. DD 24" 5 years before it was cool!
  13. Watching the Gramps build for about the 4th time at the moment, it's so awesome. Exactly the sort of thing I want to do one day. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLp0KnUFYB--jDPJ-km5lSpvJvEJtCIdgl
  14. My bench is very low. My triceps are by far my weakest body part but they're improving slowly. Very simple chest day, flat bench, then incline bench, then decline bench. Generally 5-6 sets each. 2 warm sets then as many working sets as I need until I get to 2/3RM. Has started working much better since I dropped flys, they were hammering my left shoulder joint.
  15. Deadlifted 160kg for 1 this morning after 2 weeks off waiting for my shoulder to heal. That'll do. EDIT: Means I'm a member of the 750lb club now! 160kg deadlift, 120kg squat and 70kg bench. Adds up to 350kg/770lb.
  16. Ace cheers, apparently they can be fixed but only as a temporary thing. Both though? Mine has got 4 I think... It's got 4 vents in the dash anyway. How much do you want for it?
  17. Back to it tomorrow for me. Shoulder is still a little sore so I'm just going to see what I can get done.
  18. Sunroof seal (the foam glass one but also the inner would be good if you have it) and the heater fan resister card if your fan control works? Mine only works on 4 (so fans are on full or off).

Easier than copying the text in front of you?
  20. Replacing the numberplate on my race car. Got some jobs to do, like it has a blown CV boot and the sunroof leaks, but not a fat lot of money to spend. Pretty happy with it haha.
  21. How is it unfaithful if your partner is cool with it?
  22. That is f**king brilliant.
  23. I'd be up for an open relationship but only if it was equal and now feels with other parties, but my lady won't hear of it. Not even the tip!

My wench does that. It's infuriating! Clothes go into the wardrobe in a state where you can take them out and put them on, why put them in the wash basket in a state where they can't be taken out and washed? They need to be the right way out so that they actually clean, if they're all inside out then fluff gets stuck inside and that.
  25. It's the main period of a relationship that I like to be honest. I hate all the stuff that comes before, it makes me nervous.
