  1. They just need to make it go over a speed bump and it would be the fastest car... In the world.
  2. That Ferrari sounded amazing! Did it actually beat the Caterham R500 though? I can't remember what it did it in. The Stig is Schumacher!!!! Feck, I never saw it coming.
  3. I'm loving that Vincent! This series is going to be amazing.
  4. GO! EDIT: The TF clock is wrong.
  5. Looked like a good ride guys, I need to get to a Matlock ride soon. It's been so long!

    F1

Did anyone just watch? Seems like the championship is opening up now. Should be interesting anyway!
  7. Start of by watching the formula one, then go out riding again. Thats my plan anyway.
  8. Definately coming together, I've been thinking about doing something similar as I can get steel welded incredibly well for free. Just not aluminium unfortunately. Looks really good! Hope it lasts you mate.
  9. I'll be watching, can't wait!
  10. That picture is the first thing that's inspired me to ride in months! Dunno why, but anyway. Back later. The Queen Mum died about 7 years ago mate.
  11. Hope, GET ROUND TO IT, TAKE OUR MONEY. They could get the design sorted and prototyped and all ready to go, then get people to pre-buy them then just do a run with half for the pre-buyers, then half for tarty and the other trials shops. Might work! I guess they're worried about commiting time and effort into this if it isn't going to make a lot of money.

    Moto Trials

The swingarm snapped, therefore there definately is something wrong with GasGas's! Not the only one I've seen snap either of the 08/09 gassers. Two of my mates had two 08 Gassers each, and all four of them were shite, they never stopped breaking down.
  13. I've got a 180mm Mono Trial on mine, it's a bit lacking if I'm honest but it does the job. I'd never use a 160, they're just not powerful enough on a stock.
  14. Tarty weigh everything themselves, they never use quoted weights so it will be 11.75kg. By todays standards thats extremely heavy, you can either buy second hand or get a better bike new, but it'll be expensive. I'd never buy anything new in trials any more, the second hand market is swamped with stuff and people are selling mint bikes for less than £500 now. I sold my Echo for £485, it had Monty TI wheels, Hope disc brakes, cut down carbon fibre pace forks. It was a daft price but it was the only real offer I got in 6 months!

  16. I'd get an insert put in there, the threadless bbs are a bit shit from what I've heard. (Axle and bearig strength, they're designed for xc/road not trials). I've never had to do it, but a lot of bike shops can do it or get it done. It might cost £30+, but at least you'll be able to run a proper BB.
  17. It's been done, there have been several topics on here and tarty tried to get them to do it a few years ago, but they havn't taken notice.
  18. I had a bit of a look at doing this when I had my Pro2 apart, and it looks to me like you'd have to have a redesigned drive shell. It has 3 bearings in there already, and to get the drive shell small enough you could only run one of them, which tells me it might die a bit faster. What it need in my opinion, is two of those bearings but pressed in from either side, with a 4-5mm shoulder to stop them actually touching. It can be done, but you'd need a proper machining centre. Hope needs to get its arse into gear, how they can't see that this would sell amazingly well is a mistery to me.
  19. No, they reem the bb sheel out so it's smooth and press fit an insert in, the insert is normally just a steel tube with a thread on the inside.
  20. Did you get the bb shell tapped and faced first? Might be an idea, you could probably still get it in if the threads were tapped to clean all the laquer out of them. If the worst comes to the worst you can get the sheel reemed out with a steel insert fitted into it.
  21. You can get proper sound deadening mats for them, then you just put an old curtain or two in the bass drums.
  22. You're joking right? Thats terrifying!! Headset presses are the best thing ever. They stop you flaring the headtube out by hammering it in on the piss, and they pull it in exactly straight, and you can't bend the headset cup by hamnmering it. You need a bottom bracket tool for getting the BB out, and it's best to have some washers and spacer so you can bolt the tool into the BB. Buy some proper grease, you don't nbeed posh stuff, just some decent grease. You can get big tubs for about £5 and it last for years. If you're getting a new frame, I recommend getting everything faced, (headtube, bb shell, disc mounts). It makes it so much easier to build up. EDIT: I didn't buy my headset presses, Daddy made them at work years ago, seriously useful pieces of kit to have.
  23. Don't cut a slot in the bolt, just superglue the goldthing into the lever blade and turn the bolt to adjust the bite point.

    Last Day Of School

How about get the whole school to do a freeze stand thing at a certain time? You'd just need to talk to everyone in the school, then between 4th and 5th periods every just freezes, eventually the teachers will all come out looking round and get scared. Or do it on one of your mates if you have a decent teacher that will get involved, get them to send them to go and get something, then when they get back, everyones all frozen..... We once went round the school writing Grego everywhere, seeing what the wierdest place would be.
  25. If you snapped a trialtech, you need to stop going to pedal so hard! I've had mine 6 months and not even knocked a pin out. If you want strength and weight doesn't bother you, I'd get DMR V8s, I had a set once, they're incredibly strong.
