  1. Screw them together, that's what I do anyway. The stacks don't slide around because they're just sitting on mud, so they dig into it over time.
  2. I've had mine for 2.5 years now, it's been amazing. They're similar to a Pro2 in that they're fairly hefty and solid feeling things, but they use different sized pawls and springs, and I think the Pro2 has 4 pawls and the Tensile has 6, but they do feel pretty similar to ride.
  3. On my stock it would be my Middleburn cranks, they were the only thing that weren't brand new when it was built. (Not by me, I bought it second hand) On my mod I've got a 2.5 year old Tensile freewheel, so impressed with it, it just keeps on going!
  4. Weigh the tyre? They vary a lot, some models by upto 75g from what I've heard. But if it is a luna/echo, you'd be so much better off with a monty, they feel so much nicer to ride.
  5. I am really bad at taps, can't gap to front, can't sidehop at all, can't frenchie, can't switch. I can bunnyhop my 1100 stock though.
  6. I think he's broken two I believe, both at the bb/chainstay join. I think, i'm not certain though.. Loverly bike though, I want one.
  7. I think it comes with a BB and headset already fitted. Just checking, the BB on the stock will be ISIS right? How long? I've got Middleburn cranks so it doesn't really matter, but I think mines 128mm... It's an Echo internal if anyone can tell from that?
  8. Their loss really! f**k giving a uni like that £3.5k of my money a year, they can't even remember when your interview is? I'm sorted now! I got a conditional on the Web Info Systems & Services course at Sheffield Hallam, I just have to get enough Ucas points. I havn't actually been to the Uni yet though for an interview or an open day, but I did go for an Engineering project 2 years ago. I could do with going really just to check I know where it is.
  9. Our old school uniform was pretty mint, normal black trousers, (I've never know the proper name for them, the ones that you wear with a shirt), white polo shirt and black sweatshirt with the school logo. Popped collers, Rockports and skate belts to finish it off.

    What does "ring it" mean?
  12. I just got an M10 bolt and cut the head down, the head just about fit in between the splines in the crank arm and covers the hole in the BB axle. Can be seen in this wiki article I made: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/wiki/Removin...stripped_thread
  13. Which Mono? If it's a Mono Trial I wouldn't recommend it. I recently changed back to a standard one on the front, loads more bite and hold than the gusset. I think it's because the Mono Trial pads are a lot deeper than most disc brakes, and the Mono Trial rotor has a deep braking surface so your using all of the pad, whereas the Gusset has a much shallower braking surface so you're only using part of the pad.
  14. Damon is well into his weight training though, trials didn't make him that big... Look at Tunnicliffe, he's not that big and muscley, yet he probably does the biggest TGS moves in the world.
  15. I carry pretty much everything that I'd ever need to rebuild the bike, I've had some really annoying experiences with not having enough tools, like BBs coming loose in the frame etc. PumpSpare Tubes (1x20" and 1x26")Patch KitAllen Key SetMedium Adjustable Spanner (Just big enough to hold my BB tool)Crank Extractor + Bolt for ISIS BBsBB toolRags I've got loads of random spare I've accumulated over the years, I've got a spare front QR skewer for some reason.
  16. I've been running a Rubber Queen with a Maxxis Welterweight tube for about 4/5 months now, the tubes f**ked, I must have pinched it about 6/7 times, it's covered in patches now. So I doubt it, I don't like the look of the tread pattern on the mountain kings either, I reckon the rubber queen would hook up on edges much better. The Rubber Queens really are amazing. Mine is just about the grippiest tyre I've ever used, and looks like it's hardly worn at all, and I got it second hand. It's hardly even torn at the edges of the knobbles in the middle!
  17. Ever seen the push rod in a magura HS33 lever? Make it look a bit like that.
  18. Shouldn't it still be in warrenty? As far as I can remember, all Deng frames have a 6 months warrenty? £25 a week, cheeeeeaaaaappppp.
  19. Nice video Nath! Hopefully I'll see you at a comp this year, are you planning on doing any of the northern ones?
  20. Whats the downside to the Echo SL forks? Are they as flexy as the 07 Controls? (Maybe I mean Urbans.... The ones I've got with the curved blade). I don't find mine too bad, althought I would prefer something stiff really, but my bike already feels heavy towards the front to me.
  21. I'd grind the axle down if I were you, those frames are pretty decent! It'll last until you can get a decent rear wheel. Getting it ground flat will be hard, but you may well find you can file it. Take the axle out and stick it in a vice, then run a grinder or file up and down it to make two sides that fit in the dropouts.

Just because someone does big stuff doesn't mean they're harsh on their bike, look at any of the world class riders, like Vincent Hermance, he's incredibly smooth but still does huge stuff.
  23. I like both, I have more fun on group rides but I progress more on my own or just with my regular riding buddy.
  24. It has a name that everyone knows, if you're going to attempt a joke at it at least make it obvious or funny...
  25. The F5 has worn off my F5 key now.
