Post the proof up here for everyone to see, explain to him that it's clearly lost in the post. If you both agree it's been lost, refund him, then put in a claim. I think you have to wait a certain length of time before claiming though, so I'd wait that long personally.

If anything dies that they currently make, they'll just replace it normally. I cracked a rotor and a carbon lever blade (clearly through twatting them both), they replaced both with no quibbles.
