Of course not, the people who live there are British, and as such rely on the British armed forces to look after them. There's no choice involved! We cannot be seen to accept invasion by other countries. Defending that tiny rock is as much a show of force to any other countries who want to get lively as it is about looking after our own. The island also acts as a base for our armed forces in the Atlantic, it's a very useful position to hold because our forces can (and have) be deployed from there far faster than from over here in a lot of cases. In my opinion anyway. Many people believe that because it's so far away we should just give them up, but there are several thousand British citizens over there who need to be defended.

She made people jobless who's jobs were no longer needed. The trades she shut down were already dying anyway IMO. The mines definitely needed shutting as they were costing money, not making it. I've always admired her, one of the only politicians I've ever heard of who had some balls when it came to tricky decisions. That's crazy money! We have a joint account that pays for everything, we usually put in about £700 a month (£350 each) which covers all the bills and our food bill, and always leaves a bit left over for meals out, joint birthday presents for people etc. You can get decent sized rooms in shared houses for about £200 a month in Sheffield.

Move North. Everything is cheaper and better in every way! My girlfriend and I live in an average sized 1 bed flat, rent, gas & electric, water, council tax and broadband add up to about £550 a month.

£200 a month to live on really is not enough dude. £100 minimum of that will go on food, then you have to afford to have a life on £25 a week? £400 a month is possible though. I've lived on £400 a month after bills for the last couple of years, and that's manageable with some left over for the doing of fun things.

Is the USB port on the same controller? If not it could be an addressing thing I guess... I've had similar stuff happen before, it's all a bit silly. When troubleshooting USB things, always just try another port/controller/computer first, then look at driver stuff.
