  1. Haha, keep thinking about jacking it all in and heading up to do something outdoors for a living, but doubt it'll ever happen. Too many other things to get done first!
  2. Again, never seen a reputable source mention them. I'm open to being wrong though! Any Guardian articles by any chance?
  3. Horse shit. I'm very open to these things actually, it just really pisses me off that the likes of you and Dave give open minded people willing to do the research (Ben Rowlands anyone?) a bad name. I carefully read what he has to say when I can, as he actually an argument with some decent, reputable evidence, not an image that could easily be from a telly program, with a caption of "MAKE UP YOUR OWN MINDS MAAAANNNNNN!". No thankyou. When I say evidence, I mean quoting sources from a reputable source, like a decent newspaper or some well established writer. A picture is not evidence.
  4. It's actually a terrible thing. I've managed to run it up a few times despite being super anal about my monies.
  5. Actually, I find it hard to believe that someone who is so stoned that he can't differentiate between proof and myth managed to get some "sumtin sumtin". I have a girlfriend, yes. But, no, girlfriend and sister are not synonyms where I grew up. Would you like to try another retort that isn't quite so shit? Or alternatively, post some actually, FACTUAL evidence about the claims you've been posting in here? The only thing I've seen you post was a story about a practice terrorist attack that happened 2 years ago. Try harder.
  6. Blatently Stan Smith. He always knows what to do.
  7. Keeping an eye on Skoze's facebook account just reminds me of my first and second years of uni. I very much miss those days sometimes.
  8. Girlfriend? You're shitting me?
  9. I think hitting a wall of tyres and heading for a truck in a car that weighs less than the driver's testis is grounds for shitting oneself, personally.
  10. Where from? I need a new mouse.

    Who am I?

Smelly old bloke who drinks too much, rarely gets up out of his chair and has bad teeth? I'm gonna go with me to be honest...
  12. Still doing Maths? Glad it's working out for you.
  13. Such a tart. Keep it, get saving! You'll need it for final year lol.
  14. Not obvious at all, just speak in plain terms. What the f**k are you on about? Nope, don't remember them. What was the story behind them?
  15. Was indeed a lovely bike, once I'd changed the rear brake, bar, stem, tyres and a few other bits. Bought that from you as my 18th birthday present I seem to remember, which is nearly 5 years ago... Feck! EDIT: Ended up here not so long ago, barely changed since I sold it: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300850047008
  16. Why not just set up a pole for every weekend in August and September and the one with the most votes wins? I won't be attending, just thought I could help.
  17. I used it on a trials video once, behold my shiteness:
  18. Aye it will be completely different then, but I just want to get an idea of what's out there. I've no idea which models are bigger than what, or whether it's best to buy german or french or japanese etc. I think a mk3 would be too old for my liking really, I want something a bit more modern and refined. Plus I doubt there are many mk3s around that have done as few miles as I was hoping for. The two biggest factors are reliability and cost I guess. I know that older cars are easier to work on, which is great, but I'd prefer that it just never broke down. As for space and stuff, a little hatchback will be fine. I have a Dad with a pickup and a mate with 3 vans in varying sizes for the rare occasion I'd need to move something big.
  19. Max about £2500 I'd guess. Something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2005-SEAT-IBIZA-SX-TDI-BLUE-1-4-CLIMATE-CONTROL-Price-reduced-/330897863697?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4d0b0cb411 Mind you, if something 5 years younger with half the mileage and double the MPG came up for £3k, I'm sure I could borrow pennies. This is all theoretical anyway, it hangs on me getting this job...
  20. No plans yet, as I don't have a car licence, but in about 6-12 months I may end up having to drive to work (if I get the job I'm hoping I do get). I'll be averaging around 400-500 miles per week (including weekends), so I want something super reliable, economical, cheap to run and insure and comfortable. Speed and fun don't bother me at all, I have motorbikes for having fun. I think I'd prefer a diesel because I believe they tend to have more torque, but I could be wrong. I've played in my Mum's car and my ex girlfriend's, Mum's was a 1.8l diesel 306 that behaved like a tank, the ex's was a Citroen C3 with a 1.0l petrol engine that was utterly breathless and pointless. I've looked at things like the Seat Ibiza 1.4 TDI and the Renault Clio 1.5 DCI. Both do a real world 55-65mpg (I.E: They return those numbers when driven normally, unlike my mate's Prius which does 30mpg), and I can insure either of them for less than a grand, which is nice. Anything else I should consider? I've never considered what cars I actually want to buy, just ones I want to own so I've got no knowledge about this kid of stuff. It needs to do about 80mph, always return 50mpg or above and never break down. If it could start easily in -20C conditions that'd be great as well, because I'll probably end up taking it on climbing trips when it can often get that cold at night. Any other suggestions?
  21. I looked into it. It's awful for 9 months of the year, because it is cold, windy, and wet. I know a lad who does it, he recommends against it. For the first month it's all "Wooooo, abseiling for a living!", then after that it's just tiring.

    The Angry Thread.

Sounds like every woman ever to be honest mate. You just have to keep reminding yourself though, that they guard the puss-puss, and they can guard it extremely well if they choose. You also have to account for these things called "hormones", they're like a potent mixture of alcohol, LSD and cocaine. They make the woman completely insane on a regular basis. EDIT: Sources do not include current girlfriend. EDIT 2: Or my mother.

Me owd Dad made a special handlebar attachment thing so he could ride on the road to keep fit with a broken wrist once. Want me to ask him about it for you? If he's still got it you can probably have it if it'll help?
  25. Will it be all turbo'd and shit?
