  1. Lets rephrase that, like go karting on the road and being able to top 60 in less than a minute That reminds me one of my mates has just finished restoring a Mini 30th aniversary edition, need to get some pics to show you guys over in the Mini thread. Its been completely stripped back to a bare shell, welded, resprayed and rebuilt from scratch, been off the road for over 2 years!
  2. I do love a good Williams, looks ace!
  3. I reckon Fred and I alone can keep it going lol Wish my insurance would hurry up and come around for renewal so i can start with the toys, ho hum. Least I can get everything else up to scratch in preparation. I'm bored of reliabilty, its all about the fun factor I drove dads car today because the Rallye was minus an engine bracket. Can honestly say its lost most of its appeal! I used to love flinging that thing around (A4 3.2 quattro s line) Took me ges to get used to the power steering as well, my god i must have looked like the most irratic driver ever lol
  4. Could use Monty brake adapters, still a pretty pointless idea though :-P Will put the bike at a funny angle and make getting it to back wheel harder.
  5. Think that came out a wee bit wrong, what i meant was that pretty much every car thread you've got a contribution or an answer. wish i knew that much! I tell you, changing an engine mount was challenge enough for me! What 205 is it? Theres one near me thats caged and slagged, looks ace! I've got a friend thats fallen in love with Pugs after being out in the Rallye. He was trying to find a cheapo 205 so that he could dump the 1.9 Gti engine in it once hes got a years no claims or so. He fallen for AX's now lol
  6. Looks tasty indeed! My supposedly cured clonk has returned. Think it has reduced but that might be some sort of placebo effect. Thinking new engine mounts might be needed, if i do though they're going to be replaced with group N ones And how is it Oli that you find your way into every car thread?
  7. I am indeed, Forum name over there is Ponk. I need to join properly though, can't be bothered to go and find the VIN or engine number though lol Oh and I f**king love it too
  8. Well then, as above really! Thought i'd start off with my first attempt at car maintanance, when i bought the car it had a mystery clonk that was thought to be the right hand engine mount buffer. Went to Peugeot, ordered the part and 2 months later it finally appeared! Out with the old... (which was fooked!) big hole In with the new... Little bit of tinkering and viola! Here she is in all her glory with no more clonks! Only problem with fixing one thing is that you then notice another problem, think the release bearing is on its way out now
  9. Good luck with that one lol
  10. I keep meaning to get to one of these rides, ho hum will have to be next year!
  11. Of course not, its quite clearly all Europes fault!
  12. 84th Higher than I thought actually
  13. Haven't even read it but dear god no! Almost as bad as the + 400 bhp chips lol
  14. I made my ad at about 9-10ish in the evening and it was on the web the next morning. Oh and make sure you use the telesafe thing! Saves having to tell about a hundred people that the cars sold individually!
  15. I whacked my little polo on the trader about 9-10 o'clock one night. I used my home number and my mum was literally inundated with calls the next day, had 3 people arrange viewings for the next night, sold to the first people that looked! Seems a lot of people lurk on the trader just waiting for the car they're after. Trust me if the pics and spec are good you're going to get a ton of calls!
  16. When your mum called previously they would have recorded and tracked that call, unless they are ridiculously stupid i'd reckon they will catch on. (I tend to do a fair amount of phone work in my job and we would spot that) You could try but what your doing is technically fraud. Worth the risk? Bad luck though dude. Pete
  17. I've got a huuuge lump thats formed, can see it even when i'm wearing a jumper. I managed to shatter my clavicle on a 4x track. Back on the bike tomorrow though, has been 7 long weeks woop woop! Get well soon guys!
  18. I actually really like those, hahaha
  19. Congrats on the lack of stabbing, nice pics too, especially liking the big air bunyhop off bench one
  20. My god dave, a month? Gotta love the Zenith though eh? Hows is the bar and stem? I've been thinking of putting a higher stem on mine for a while now
  21. I had a wee crash on my jump bike a couple of weeks ago. Heres what apparently happened, i don't remember anything after the forks bottomed out , next memory is of being sat on a picnic bench with a paramedic checking me over. I've copied and pasted this post from another forum as i've not a clue what happened! 2 more weeks min before i can get back on a bike A month + until any trials! Pete
  22. Its easier if you just hold the pads over a hob for a while, it wont help though, your brake will always be gay hahaha
  23. Despite that King are still pretty good about warrenties, the other plus of a king hub is the bearings, they're of far better quality than the hope ones. As you said though its all down to how much you want to spend really. Pete
  24. Don't tell lies to impress strangers on the internet
