Do You Think These Two Products Are The Same
Rusevelt replied to jsy trials matt's topic in Trials Chat
Of course they are identical in design! the length of the crank is irrelevant, they are the same. but anyway this is nothing new, if you think back a few years ago when the news media caught wind that brand retailers and resturants were charging different prices on the same item under custommers noses ie; BURGER KING had two resturants opposite each other on tottenham crt rd, london westend, they charged 15p difference for the same burger or meal-deal what a rip-off! -
Welcome to the forum here in the uk (united kingdom), im sure it wont be long before you are validated onto the main forum. just keep your posts simple, dont post any harsh bad language, and clear concise english is key. So far your doing just fine.

Q1 Does frank have any riders on-board (other than test pilots/trialsters) to help promote this frame? Q2 Is such a stiff alu frame more prone to snap through riding stress & fatigue? Q3 Has frank managed to strike a deal with a uk distributor/bike retailer to bring a few frames over (ie; Tartybikes)?

cant stand stupidly high travel on sus-forks, looks sh*te. drop them down to 100mm min for front tech street/dirt jump moves.
-
Sorry dude, but the number of spacers ruins the look . im 5ft-11ins and use an Echo Hi-Fi 130mm/15 degree rise with Adamant bars , so does Neil Tunnicliffe whom is 6ft-1in i think (taller than me). you should have got a Simtra 110mm/15 degree rise stem with Monty or Zoo bars. cant stand those forks

What the fcuk! absolutely stupid idea...unless your gonna do 20ft plus drops.
-
Yeah thats very true. its early days for this tubing in terms of price, processes of tube-strengthen like AIR HARDENING, types of welding ie; brazing. but yeah, alu is pretty much the dominate force for current trials frames market.
-
Teaser 4 is now availiable to view. features rider Dylan Korba doing some insane 360 drop that must be 12-14ft high. and half a clip of his bunnyhop to manual down a steep rail insane dude.

This vid was a joy to watch, mainly because of the originality of the lines and locations . class editing with the failed attempts and crashes . music was ok

Yeah i remember spode mentioning this during our southeast london ride yesterday. sounds like a pretty solid deal worth doing, esspecially with the number of riders whom suffered serious injured list this year alone, Martin, Darren, Antonio. i can imagine the specific details ie; you wont be covered if you sustained a head injury because you were not wearing a helmet for example. but thats just pure common knowledge sense.

This tubing rivals Titanium in the strength-to-weight stakes. previously only available to road bikes, but now making its impact on the mountain bike scene...maybe even in the bmx scene. i guess Leeson, and Norco bikes will be more than happy to get hold of this tubing at a fair price and start building trials frames weighing at 3.5lbs as opposed to their current 5-7lb framesets (Yeah the norco 2008 Manifesto frame weighs a heavy 7lbs that cant be right!) for $1000, you can custom build your rig use Reynolds 953 from www.desperado.com. thats too much if you ask me but its only a matter of time when this tubing gets competitively cheaper.

Just viewed it via youtube. love that gnarly frontwheel hop-to-looping the backwheel over the fence. so scary if you get that wrong . and the sidehop to 270 hop was so classy, it made the other big-up, big drops, and big gap moves look tame. more of tech stuff is the way forward for future vids.

Couldnt view the video , website taking forever to upload everything , im sure im not the only one experiencing this problem . ill try again in a few days time when hopefully everything will be sorted by then..... Ps, in reference to all the negative comments on your riding, i think everyone wants to see you hit multiple lines/moves.

Lame! extreme freerider Josh Bender, has done a 25ft trials drop onto flat concrete years ago. or for those of you whom own the Redbull Rampage Retrospective dvd collection, there is a nice pedal kick drop on rampage1 vid. ok its on a full suspension rig but lets face it dropping more than 20ft on a trials bike is asking for trouble.

i dont see why not he could be manualling it, Chris Akrigg was doing that sick stuff when he was riding for Ashton. judging by Teaser1 (chain hop-2-chain gap), it should be a good enough vid to watch over the winter months and Ryan Leech isnt obviously gonna show everyone the the more impressive moves/lines, that would kill the sales of the dvd. though someone will eventually buy it and transfer it on youtube..

well lets us know if you do another ride. fortunately, the weather this week is looking dry if a little chilly but still good enough ride in. you just have to ride a bit harder or freeze like a statue.
-
Shame there werent more pics to showcase the day event. i guess ultimately you all had fun which is what counts eh. ps, im kinda surprized to see chai there. when ive tried to drag him elsewhere from southbank, he always gave lame excuses. how did you guys convice him to trek to east london?
-
Looks like it was a good days session there . shame there arent enough pics for us forum members to properly gauge to the whole event and the quality of riding that came with it .
-
Ride from liverpool st station, are you nuts! thats at least 1 hour plus ride time. and if your riding a 20in mod, then forget it. youll be too shattered to ride by the time you get there. youll need to drink at least 10 Relentless energy drinks to have the stamina to trek that ride. thats a Tour-de-london mission of a ride. ps, cant make it tomorrow as ill be working.

Didnt anyone capture sundays riding clips or pics? i kinda get the impression that no one turned up sunday because of the sh*t london transport system due to engineering works that weekend
-
Yeah its a shame neither myself, nor Julien (Trashzen) captured that big gapjump-to-bashring across the two tall white pillars. dumbarsed people were blocking my view via getting up their seats and disrespectfully walking out of the trials arena during the comp, and julien was changing his memory card. i wanted to go sunday but i got up late in the afternoon and i knew there were station closures due to engineering works on the tube so i just gave it a miss. had an interesting chat with Chris Poyser/Onza about why Bruno Arnold failed to turn up, the cost of the whole set-up and man power it took to build, the future and amount of Red-tape/politics it will take to get trials the support and attention it deserves...stuff like that. oh yeah, before i forget, nice clips julien and thanks for bringing the Trashzen t-shirts down....im loving the orange one.

As the above states, do anyone have any detailed info on this? website is currently offline. i think Cycle Surgery and Evans Cycles are part sponsors of this gig. think we can safely assume this event is about bikes and the various biking disciplines in films and how they have impacted the industry/community as a whole.

As sweet as this spot may look, its not the easiest spot to trek to (if you dont mind riding at a casual 5mph for 15-25mins). not everyone can hack riding to locations for long periods. one of my local riding mates lives in the same borough as i do, but he bitches and moans every damn minute we ride over the 15min barrier of riding from place to place. as a result, i dont call him up for a ride which is more than 15mins to trek to. i just cant ride with people whom bitch and moan and generally sound like some old tranny! personally id rather meet at the site than ride with a 26in wheeled headache on my side. guess i can always ride with my CD/MP3 player at full volume blast.
-
thanks for the shirts dude, ill probably wear the orange one at the show sunday.
-
Hopefully julien(trashzen) will supply the video footage. i missed out on most of the action. did anyone capture the stupidly MASSIVE GAP JUMP to bashring by that guy on the 20in mod (11-13ft). he got a penality dab for that but my god if he missed that jump he would have been DEAD MEAT for sure. the most death-defying move of the entire comp. will he do it tomorrow and clean it for showmanship......
