  1. Zhi already explained that these the sidewalls are way thicker than regular alu rims, so smooth, light, or heavy grind isnt a problem(ive dropped and scratched my Dmr V12 pedals so many times, the wear rate is no different than when i had regular V12 pedals years ago). i simply wanted to black stealthly look or my rig, hense using Green Rock pads. ill upload a close up pic of my rear Echo wheelset against my Magnesium wheelsets so you can see the difference i the rim profile and thickness of sidewalls. as far as im concerned, they feel no different in flex and stiffness to my echo, but they are ridiculously lighter so much so that my rear magnesium/echo wheelset, is lighter than my front echo/adamant wheelset. of course i will eventually ovalizes them over time, but thats inevitable and irrelevant. thats all everyone needs to know.
  2. North side of river thames looking down at race course tower O2 Dome in the background. Right pic closer view of race course on river. ill post some pics of what is available to ride in Canary Wharf area...well hopefully!
  3. Ive been scoping both sides of the river thames to get the best view for free without spending £30-£50 per ticket. also scoping places to ride. a few pics at the mo. watch this space!
  4. As the above states, checkout akrigg run and crash em burn. highlights of this event was already aired on sky tv about 2weeks ago.
  5. My current A1 rig with my new magnesium/echo wheelsets and new law moto-x pedals. very stealthly looking indeed. Zhi built these up within 48hrs of recieving the echo hubs i sent him. then he sent the wheelsets back in a nice wheelset carrier bag insanely fast build, enough to put tarty out of business because he wasnt gonna charge me. i sent him cash for his very fast services. nice one zhi Right pic slightly close up.
  6. Will there be a purpose built trials rig for us non comp riders? this would make a better turnout for the general public to see how big the dedicated fan base is, and help promote the sport commercially for bigger things esspecially with the Bejing 2008, an London 2012 olympics. trials needs public interest. just showing top riders on a course isnt enough to promote public interest. the public need to see that the sport is not too specialist.
  7. Id seconded that quote from Spode . had the same problem myself when i squeezed the lever before fitting. i just used a clean/dry kitchen knife and careful push the pads back in.
  8. Think its more a public viewing only event than participation. but yeah it would be nice to see other urban disciplines like trials. bmx flatlanders would probably checkout the newly surfaced floor that has being homage to top uk riders during the 1980s. esspecally now with all the led lights fitted. ill try and see if i can get riders down, time and weather permitting. todays rain shows how unforgiving the weather is.
  9. Is anyone coming down to checkout the various displays of Parkour, Absailing, and other urban stunt stuff going on? sorry ive got no pics to show everyone practicing there yesterday.
  10. Are you the dude i spoke to outside Cycle Surgery store (Bishopgate/near liverpool st station) on my Adamant A1? and we had a brief chat about Trials is Dead dvd. i believe you ride an Echo hifi i think. or this another australian trialster?
  11. the rider should bunnyhop the dog. pure comedy!
  12. Beautiful frame, set-up is ok, colours are a mess! a beauty of a frame like this deserves a more respect from its onwer. Ash.K is right, whats the point of bumping an old post unless your gonna really change the bike set-up?
  13. What weight is that in lbs. around 16-18lbs?
  14. No loving the yellow bars , but the rest of bike is nice
  15. How do i get there from london, which train station?
  16. Well i was hoping mid late july-august just to give time for the riders after the big leeds ride. give me time to get more pics sorted and provide a link to entire photobucket which contains about 30-40 plus location pics. gotta get back to security work now laters.
  17. Well given that the rim width profile are narrower than current models, they should be strong enough for comp use. urban abuse is another question. personally i reckon the rear should be 36h and the front remain 32h. Very light grind use only. reckon we will see them in the uk by 2008.(in limited stock)
  18. Another random pic. somewhere on Old Kent Road between past New Cross gate heading westbound. its gonna take me some time to sort out these photos for a july-august london ride. Bottom pic london docklands i think. ill find out by july. Bottom right plumstead. just hit the tree a speed and drop down. this tree was at a higher angle last year now is a bit easier. logging out now, gotta retake the pic of a line Neil Tunnicliffle was pretty keen on checking out but missed the cut with his Land Rover commitments. bye4now.
  19. Bottom pic is for you bunnyhop manual freaks. unfortunately some dumb arse skaters managed to shift a piece of the curved concrete bench on its side. so now you gotta gap to deal with.(Woolwich town)
  20. Not all trains from Canon Street station, go through lewisham. otherwise just change at london bridge for a connecting train. just adding a few pics this one betwen woolwich and plumstead again. relatively simply balance line with a gap although right side of the wall is 10-15ft drop to the car park entrance.
  21. Keep us all informed with updates and details. we will all watch this space!
  22. lewisham is on network southeast london railway. Anyway ill post more specific details next month when everyone is gearing up for the next london ride. this stuff is just a teaser of what members can expect to ride on. this location pic is between woolwich and new thamesmead (not to be confused with old thamesmead) along the river thames. not much to do on this stuff accept climbing and dropping down. The right pic is just good for mucking about with spinning and flicking tricks. bottom left pic is just a bit of a challenge of riding something unusual. again new thamesmead.
  23. loving those bright wheelsets. they must stand out in a crowd!
  24. that red chain looks bright. kinda like it in a weird way.
  25. Dude had a lucky escape!
