regards "english hop" - didnt realise we still spoke in terms that old. haha. now i get it though. I tend to just lean back and pull the front end up. as if i am doing a manual is how i think about it. there are somethings in aeners that are really good ideas. primarily; going to 90 both ways chain tension front end height. JD's learning to crash alot and laugh is a good one! my final tip; EDIT: stick with it. its not easy, and if you believe it IS easy you are less likely to succeed. simple really (had to edit as it didnt make any sense whatsoever...work is draining me today)

Mark - WTF is an english hop....i know about the body position you are talking about but...an english hop? no idea

Update please...kthxbai

One tip....FAAAAAAAASSSSSSSTTTTTTEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRR Sorry I probably could have been more helpful...chain tension is how to stay on the back wheel. Don't pull your front end as high and perch o the chain tension before preloading!!

certainly made my morning at work bearable! ive been riding brakeless again for the past couple of weeks and I am loving it, glad to see you are still coming up with lines like that. hopefully it means i will think about my video that little bit differently now! this, lewis', marks, and johns videos have certainly made for a most enjoyable start to 2012 videos. its due to these four I have actually watched some trials videos recently.

loved the video john. really good to see. liked the wall rides bit! this and lewis' videos made me go out and ride! which i very much needed to do
-
Sweet video Lewis! Loved it! Prefer your style on shorter bikes if Im honest! Really nice! Allens ridin was decent too! Shorts are much better!!!!

You make brakeless look so effortless mark! Slight bit of hatred from me to you!! Vid was ace though!! Ali - nice to see the foot hasn't slowed you down. Riding was sweet and some big gaps etc in there!

filing dropouts is the name of the game....just had to get rid of the tensioner I was bashing it so much. just filed them at a wee angle to allow me to push the wheel further into the dropouts as necessary when the chain got slacker in regards to the weekend in aberdeen. ill come riding with you anytime. let us know. first port of call....here

Appreciate your opinion JD, and im certainly not offended. Many video's dont get actual "constructive" criticism in here and I agree with what you are saying. My street riding is definitely coming along compared to my earlier videos on the inspired. It just needs more time because I spent over 10 years being TGS. The past couple of months it has changed because I have watched about 95% bmx videos for inspiration as apposed to trials. However I still want to show that the inspired can be used for 'pure*' trials rather than purely trying to be a bmxer on a trials bike** I know the style still needs to come for the flow etc, but i'd like to keep my own style in there as well. *pure trials is not meant to cause any arguments. its meant to describe the 'long, low, TGS type style i used to have. **this is not intended at anyone, nor to cause an argument. I want to mix and match how I ride the bike. I will not conform to one type of riding.

Cheers for all the comments guys. Much appreciated! JD - I must admit that part of the reason I have released the video was because I wasn't happy with how the clips came out! I want to make something really good for my next big video, but everything I film doesn't quite hit the spot for myself! One thing to point out is that everything in the video I have never done before! It's lines I'd spotted but never quite been ballsy to do! Bearing in mind my old style, it's taken me this long to build up confidence to do things like 360's and Head towards walls with speed! I appreciate what you've said! It would be interesting to hear whether you think it's the riding or the filming? I know I need to work on my 360's, I do nt seem to keep my body rotating when I go round! I'll be working on it when I go brakeless this winter!! If anyone has any tips I'd appreciate them?? Cheers again everyone

A new little clips video for y'all to watch. Just some lines I have been doing recently that I was reasonably happy with. Also being impatient with the weather / work / college that I have decided i'll just start fresh with some clips next year. I edited on the iPad and i'm quite happy with how it came out actually. Still need to learn how to do some more advanced stuff but I am getting there with it. All comments, positive and negative, are welcome. Ben Travis - Emergency Contraception Blues

kinlochleven was good, except for the timing in the year was a bit off. Id recommend fort bill / kinlochleven being summer rounds to make the most of both spots. ill do my best to get round to more of the comps this year!
