Are you tightening the stem before the headset?

I find the BB7 has more bite and locks the wheel more easily and the BB5 has more modulation Edit: Although I have an SD7 lever for the BB7 and the BB5 has the other Avid one (the standard one) so that'll make a difference

I always seem to have the same problem, yet I can see the pads move as soon as I move the lever, even without the pads in. If you find a solution let me know

I found that really frustrating to watch, could never see that being used for trials riding in a good way.

I normally use around 3psi, it helps with my back hopping and gives me enough roll for the spinny stuff. Edit - Seems I missed off the 5

Get one of those thumb print detectors, train your cat to operate it, and then the cat flap opens. The other cat's paw print won't be registered so I can't get in. Problem solved.
