So after no been able to do much trials on my streety marino but just having fun rolling around and bunnyhopping everything got a proper trials too because I was missing the bounciness... So got the same frame I had before - echo pure, fantastic frame! Got a little bit different set up with this one though. Bars are a lot higher with longer reach. Also some 2011 range Conti tyres: X king and Baron 2.3 both in black chilly and both folding tyre. Baron sidewalls seem to be pretty much the same as rainking(I know it's the same pattern) and Kaiser with a folding bead, so there is plenty of protection, although black chilly isn't the super soft one but it still is grippy enough. The tyre is also isn't as huge profile as the rubber queen which I like, reminds me of 2.35 maxxis but tad bouncier! Front tyre (2.0 x king) is around 540g when I weight it and has deeper nobles that for example last years mountain king and imo suits trials a bit better! Bike is so much lighter than a previous echo, haven't weighed it but feels like sub 9 anyway! Marino is 1035 +25 379. Thnking around 12kg Check them out! Very nice! When did you get the last update? He sent me picture of almost complete frame with just hs mount to be added and sprayed. That was 2 weeks ago I emailed the guy 3 times to ask for any updates, but nothing, no replies! I payed for express delivery, so normal person would understand that I would like it as quick as he can finish it. What the hell!?

Hi. While I was looking for a second hand mono trial on the forum, I though I would see if I can go for something alternative that would have as much stoppping power and hold as mono trial does. There is a Juicy 7 on the chain reactions on offer with minor scratches, just wondered if that would be any similar. Few people had it on their stocks and seemed really bitey, however I did not have a good on a bike itself and cannot tell if the hold is any good. Tried Marta myself before and that was really weak, lacking both lock and power. So what do people think about juice 7s?

18-14 with 170 was great on my trialsy 24. For street is recommended to go harder if you want to reach higher speeds with less work. It has been set that stocks normaly run 1.2 ratio and mods 1.3 it is best ratio for both rolling and static power moves that should let you use most of the power from you legs/body preloads. I.E. with 18:18 you would be just wasting energy and won't get much unless you run shorter cranks, decreasing the leverage, although with 18:10 there won't be enough power going through unless you have 300mm cranks People discovered perfect combination of crank lengh vs gearing ratio, so we don't need to "reinvent the wheel"!

I am planning to order a marino sometime this week. Just wanted advice on the geo. I have always ridden a 26 trials and have tried all the other bikes too for atleast few weeks of riding. Lets just say other wheel size is just not my thing. Lately wanted to get something steety, short WB low BB bike. I always prefer rolling anyway! There also isn't wide range of 26 bikes with magura mounts or just the fancy geo. Rockman switch and because just have awful geos. HEx on the other hand is what I was interested in. Although it is well out of my price range, so though I'll get a cheaper marino for now to experiment and might as well tweak geo a little! I was thinking of: 1040 WB, 385 CS, 25 BB, 120mm headtube. Thinking to make order it with horizontal drop outs, but not sure if I get any problem with HS mount aligning if i ever want to change gear ratio! Was planning to go 18-15 and change it if it's too easy.I also have no idea about head angle and seat angle, I am suspecting it should be around 72-74 for both?Which material would be recommended: carbon steel or 4130 chromoly, what would be the "feel", flex, strenght and weight differences. I always rode ali frames so would not have a clue!Is there anything else I need to know before I make an order. Any advice would be appriciated! I know Ali C is riding Hex and he is pretty active on the forums lately, hoping he could give me and advice how he would tweak his current bike!

Hi, he is a great guy, bought plenty of stuff from him before. No import tax needs paying in European Union, if i believe so. The only thing is, if he hasnt got the wanted item in stock he will have to order it and that might take 2-3 weeks to arrive.
