  1. Tempted to report you to Danny for this. Kill it, kill it with fire! In other 'not quite a mini but wants to be' news -
  2. Yeah mate, she sure loves her cars! Ah, glad mate - its a lovely motor! Surprised to see it on here actually, never expected to see it again after the listing ended... You'll be buying a petrol tanker next! It was one of the most incredible cars I've ever had the pleasure to be in! So luxurious, but still went like shit off a shovel. She ended up selling though due to the fuel bill! It's a 20 mile straight road between here and her work - it quite often had the throttle pinned! Second hand prices are pretty reasonable too for what you're getting!
  3. Trust me mate - My old dears always had fast audi's - this would be relatively slow compared to some! First car - Audi Gt quattro Second car - Another Gt quattro, 2 door, full group b spec and putting out 550ish! Third car - went sensible and had a civic type R around 1998, Turbo'd it in 01 and ended up with a 320bhp fwd, stripped out. Fourth car - went back to the audi's, with a 1.9tdi A4 avant Fifth - 2.5 v6 a4 avant Sixth - 2006 Audi S8 5.2 FSI quattro Seventh - Audi TT mk1, 3.2 v6 Quattro Next car - between an s4 avant, 350z, or a TTrs mk2. Old dears can have fast cars - and she actually drives them as they should be driven too!
  4. My old dear was gonna buy that y'b*****d! Haha, we were gonna go down this weekend but were too late! Nice purchase man! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&fb_source=message&hash=item4d01d4639b&item=330743178139&nma=true&pt=Automobiles_UK&rt=nc&si=VcP1W%252FeuopLYhLlVhyr1AIW5iz4%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
  5. So not only do we have to put up with Mr I'm amazing in the car thread, we have him here now too! Got myself a cheap yn560 flash for off camera work, with a pac of gel filters. Happy with it for now - need to invest in a set of triggers and another one though! This was just a test shot - composistion aint great but thats the flash on 1/3rd power - £40, decent recycle rate, and works with the booster packs from canon speedlites! Dont think I ever posted this in here - so here we go!

    Top Gear 2012/13

Cant beat snow foam on a new car! I've made the mistake of using it on an old car and it just killed the paint around stonechips! However, on a new car such as this it isn't really an issue!

    Top Gear 2012/13

We had Hammond and Tom Ford from the Top Gear Magazine in yesterday to have some cars valeted... They're up here for 'supercar of the year 2012'
  8. I've seen him do another cover exactly the same, and he used an airbrush... Anyway, its cost me f**k all, and looks better than any job I could of done - Even if it had been splattered on, i'd be happy!
  9. I LOVE having a mate who's shit hot with an airbrush - should have this back, cured, by next week! My spare rocker cover!
  10. Theory test = passed with full marks in both sections. Result.
  11. Excuse the crap picture... But its in! Over the moon, currently!
  12. Maybe so - we never know with him! First thing I thought was what were the lights on the silver thing, but you might be right!
  13. I think he means the one on the crossfire! J-dog - its a chrysler crossfire!
  14. Cheers guys! It's a mates car, got myself insured on it though! You're gonna laugh when I say this! £65... 3m adhesive matt black vinyl. The guy who's car it is works as a signwriter/vehicle graphics specialist, so we did it out of hours and trade price vinyl! Relatively straight forward to clean - warm water and a soft cloth - everything just wipes off it! No need to polish or anything as you're only after a dull finish anyway!
  15. Matt black wrap, complete.
  16. Topsy, Dude - I f**king love you. Thats been on repeat since you posted it!

    Biscuits

Not really biscuity - but shortbread! Being scottish, I have to love the stuff - can dunk it for over 30 seconds! f**king gorgeous!
  18. Welll - where am I in the build? Getting there! Wiring stage! Bulkhead box = done Interior - back together various bits and bobs carpeted Stainless custom 'kinked' tie bars and bottom arms, allow extra turning circle on the vtec subby! fully rose jointed too!
  19. Well, not dead - but it doesn't get many viewers! Anyway, I dont really consider mine a mini anymore! Vtec powered, mainly carbon fibre... Not much 'mini' left!
  20. Since the mini threads basically dead - and as said above, this needs variety... Just swapped my wheels for these - 13x7 superlites. With tyres. Guys paying delivery both ends too! They look like shit, but I only want to polish them up and lacquer them anyway! Some dish, and some wide rubber to get vtec power down safely!
  21. middle one... The two strangest shots of me on facey!
  22. Its not mine anyway, I really couldnt care less - If i'm perfectly honest. Just stating quoted figures.
  23. It's got a miltek catback, running decat! Just asked previous owner now - had never really looked into figures for the engine before, as they're no use to me as I'll never get insured on the thing! So, 250 standard. Map and exhaust work might push you 280/5 - then the rest is dyno lottery like you say! The 250 standard figure from Audi however, is a wheel figure - so throw in your losses too for the engine figure, and we might be getting close! Lowered 15mm on the rear, with adustable arms obviously to straighten things back out - running -1.5 front and rear. For a hairdressers car, it feels VERY well planted on the road, and handles like a dream!
  24. Sack off the shitty standard hose clamps - Get some of these on, obviously in the right size... http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Search.do?method=delegate&n=801&p=245296&s=clamps Or get a 3.2 Like above, naturally aspirated and putting out 310bhp after a remap... A shot from tonight - this rig will be perfect with a clean sensor!
