  1. Went and spoke to mother after the issues with dad... Cars staying at home, and my gran has somewhere for me to stay. Plus a win on a scratchcard. What a day. Releived doesn't even cover it! The mini's staying!
  2. Looks like I'm possibly being made homeless - and with the garage attatched to the house, I wont have garage space / a deposit for somewhere to stay. It's all up in arms atm, trying to find a way to keep the mini. Trying to sell as much other stuff as possible but it's not looking hopeful atm!
  3. I'd almost definately say that my dizzy is at fault... Look at the corrosion on the screws onto the coil!
  4. No immobiliser on these... Looking at the coil and dizzy next! Had it off this morning and it looks pretty knackered, but I cant get the rotor off the shaft, so it requires a whole new distributor - for which, honda would like £380. Time to try and find someone breaking one!
  5. Fuel, power, cranking... No spark. Bollocks.
  6. But getting pulses at the injectors, and a spark isn't so easy. I've got both! Just need to run some temporary fuel lines to get her running!
  7. What you need is an IR repeater - tape a little box around the ir receiver on one of the tvs, and place the extender inside so the tv can ONLY see that repeater... Now, run the repeater to a corner of the room away from the un repeated tv - Like down behind the seating, so that when controlling that tv, the uncovered tv wont pick up the signal. Then, when controlling the uncovered one, the repeater wont pick it up. Attatched a quick mock up just incase what I said doesnt make sense... Wireless system available here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/50M-WIRELESS-RF-INFRARED-IR-RECEIVER-REPEATER-SYSTEM-REMOTE-CONTROL-EXTENDER-/330678395589?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_Video_RemoteControls&hash=item4cfdf7e2c5 Wired systems tend to be a bit cheaper... That wireless RF one doesn't even need line of sight, so you could box the IR receiver on the tv off completely, so only the repeater is visible!
  8. Erm, first things first - I'd ditch the mobile version, especially on ipad with no third party support! Get yourself on a pc, download some decent vsts, and then just search youtube for your preferred genre. Highly reccomend getting your hands on the nexus kit.

    Cheeky Mouse

We have loads of mice in the house - loads! Put traps down occasionally, but they dont cause any harm... Nothing is ever chewed, they mainly just eat the pet bird seed... Our record is catching 12 in 2 days. We have a weasel that lives in the log pile, but spends most his time in the attic though, that kills the mice normally! Noisy when it runs around up on the ceiling, but no harm! So tame, we hand fed it bacon fat once! Exactly like this. Great predators!
  10. Back on all fours, and fitting the front end tommorow evening!
  11. Anybody on here had experience with front strut top mounts on a TT? Prawny, I'm looking at you - any hints or tips before I tear her apart?
  12. Sorry - I'm not all too clued up on this 'proposal' - What about workies with custom gear on vans? Roof racks, tow bars, nudge bars, winches, damnit, even down to the racking in the back, or headlight guards and stuff?
  13. Ahh, never knew James Fawcett was going! Did you get a proper look at his mini? That things nuts! Turbo vtec with 350bhp on 10's...
  14. Where abouts did you move to buddy?
  15. I will be running the mini without one for a while till I get all the components for the kit. As for insurance, I got a few quotes yesterday - with my father on my OWN policy, as he has maximum no claims, and police driving experience, came in at £983 for a year fully comp... The postcode helps a lot - PH37 - We're miles from anywhere, and it's kept in a secure garage with thatcham alarm and immobiliser to be fitted. Without him however, you're right - more than a house, got a 14k quote!
  16. I accidentally set money aside for a jackson supercharger, If I can find one. Am I stupid?
  17. In even more 'Not quite a mini but wants to be' news... I may of gone slightly stupid. Vtec, right? Well - say hello to my new friend! Well, not this one, but I'm going JRSC route!
  18. Womens beach volleyball.... I'll say no more...
  19. Prawn had an epic one he knocked up on his cage, I beleive - I think it was him anyway?
  20. Sounds like arc eye to me too! Done it myself - dont think people realise how dangerous the UV light from welding can be - it basically sunburns your corneas... Your eyes will be all crusty in the morning, but it does get better! 36 hours and the symptoms should of gone! Can take up to a week for the pupils to deconstrict though. Dont rub it, keep your sunglasses on, and stay in a dark room - in the morning, get a lift to hospital if possible for some eyedrops. DO NOT rub it though as it can damage the lens of the eye! If you want to try and ease the feeling - (it feels like you've got grit in your eyes, doesnt it?) Put two warm wet teabags over your eyes for the night! Or just TAPE your eyelid shut. Remember, things you can feel, wont blind you. If you can feel pain, its good!
  21. Another forum you say?
  22. Was out last night - 40+ Mackerel on the one rod with feathers, was into a brilliant shoal! Was pulling 5 in per cast for over half an hour! Had the beachcaster out with a bottom fishing rig on too - pulled up a 8lb skate, and a 6lb dogfish - good night! Released the skate - kept 5 decent size Mackerel, and the dogfish had to be killed due to the hook peircing its stomach. Was a good evening!
