ive got the 07 monotrial 180mm on a stock, not had a problem, very powerful yet loads of modulation and a nice feel.Ive never had problems with any of my hopes. -Hugh

i put some in my m8's t-pro and did a light grind, they havent worn much really, he is only a beginner but they are fine and work well. Give it a go. -Hugh

Go 26" joe just kidding, althought you robs are easily big enough! You could try more stem stackers/headset spacers? Try and get a stem that not only is qite tall but goes quite far forward? Or just go for the longer frame idea? I did it loads on my monty and even more on the limey until i put a simtra stem on with a loads higher rise lol.-Hugh

i can see where your coming from guys, alot of the police now days feel like they are superior to anyone around them , they like to use their powers probably because it makes them feel big and powerful. Seems to me like they just wanted someone to pick on or someone has reported you as being anti social and actually described what you were doing completely different, in a threatining way-that has happened to me and a friend before when we were working on his car outside his house, a policeman and someone from the enviroment department at the council turned up saying they had recieved a phonecall claiming we had oil all over the road, tools all over the road and kids were running round getting covered in oil etc, our answer was..."well the oil's in a bucket down there, there's none on the road as you can see, all the tools are on the front seat and the kids are at school" They told the old bloke to stop wasting their time lol. Anyway, if you can be bothered file a complaint. The best way to deal with cops is be as polite as possible, theyve got no reason to nick you then even if they want to-this will just annoy them more, you are well within you rights to ask why you are being asked to move. If the story is how you say it is, then it's most likely one of the above reasons,if they stop me i always like to bring up the fact that when i had my mx bike stolen, my monty, my trek and all my tools etc they didnt bother to come round for 3 days after it happened and point out they have loads of time to stop me but no time to come round and take details etc. -Hugh

This is just my opinion, but i think they look good just plain, black wheels, brushed silver forks etc, lo lary fluro colours or anything

i get the impression they might be more intended for their bmx riders for racing and stuff. not really seen many if any trials riders wearing them.

that is possibly the worst looking stock in the world. I know it's a proto so it's not going to have a nice finish etc bu the shape is terrible. The mod proto dani is riding does look trick though!

hey bud, if i were you i would stick to one bike, i think trying to ride both doesnt work out massively well for most people. You'll most probably love stock, i rode mod's for years and never tried a stock but this year i decided to change and i'm so glad i did, it's a much more rolling style (well for natural anyway). If i were you i would sell the monty and get the best new stock you can afford, as partz said your strength may not be great but this should improve with time and will give you the time to get your technique dialled. -Hugh

i dont really have someone i look up to but there are quite a few riders i enjoy watching and picking up techniques from, wheather it be me actually riding with them or watching their vids.-hugh

yer thats fair enough, i didnt want to kick off a massive argument or anything, i agreed with the lad who said the venue wasnt great but i wouldnt call it a waste of time n all that crap. I think it's good that your supporting your local club and it's great to have a club that close to you who are obdviously organising fun comps. keep supporting them people, just wanted to maybe encourage some more people to attend ymsa so they can do a bit of everything. or maybe i'm trying to get more entries for the ymsa, with all the crap thats happened with competitions recently it seems that those who were willing to compete before now no longer can be bothered and i'm trying to make them aware that ymsa has nothing to do with it and they deserve alot of support from riders.

fair doos, i mentioned the uci part because before ymsa was set up everyone moaned they wanted a uci championship in this country, now they have one they dont bother to support the club or championship, i also thought most riders would bother to travel the extra distance as this was quite a large event (2/3 dayer). But fair enough, everyone to their own. cheers-Hugh
