  1. Hi Rich, not sure if we have met yet. Will defo have to get out for a ride and a drink at some point. Luke, it would be the one by Copthorne (Win?), the back entrance to the place is in the carpark just off of the big flower "Planter/trials obstical awesomeness". And Nick, I have heard this, but thanks for the heads up. If you happen to have any books kicking around that you did happen to want rid of, id probably take them off your hands. Would more than likely save money on Amazon prices!
  2. Thanks for the advise guys! Don't get me wrong I'm well up for having fun, just don't want to blow my money in one go. Luke, I'm studying Applied Geology. Need books and shit still too. I'm actually living in a private house right next to the unite halls (technically it's an old ware house. Don't laugh, this place is mint!!!!!). I'll show you it in a few weeks
  3. Personally id always say whack in Candi Statton - You got the love, just as a crowd winner / breakdown. Just my thoughts

    Students

Hi to all students, Going off to uni in a few weeks, and trying to finalise a few things. Obviously one of the key things to being a student is budgeting. It would be nice to hear from some students how they break down their budget for uni, so I can perhaps fill in things I have forgotten. I understand if this is too invasive into peoples finances, just would be cool for some help/ tips. So far I have said that: Food (per week) - £35 Social (per week, average) - £30 Rent (@£375 pcm for 9 months (first month is paid)) - £3375 Random expenses (year) - £500 Total of £6670 My maintenance loan and grant comes to £5508 (+ a £300 bursary hopefully from the uni), although I do have a job that the very very minimum I will ever earn is £20 per week (Longer daylight hours = more money, although I will probably look for another). So add an £860 minimum to my loan (£6368 per year). That leaves me £302 in the red. It is likely that the remainder of that I can find. But what have I missed? Help please
  5. Hugo by Hugo Boss, or Calvin Klein the One.
  6. Such a fun ride!! Great tune too!!
  7. I really enjoyed that. It looked so fun and is defiantly a proper "Summer" video.
  8. Should have used a mix of 50% Heatsink yellows, and 50% Heatsink yellows. Oh wait.....
  9. When I saw this topic, I almost wee'd with excitement! Brilliant!
  10. Much better. Although looks Luke you may have gone slightly too short on the stem. But if it rides well then it's a keeper.
  11. I ride with music only on my MTB when riding a quiet trail by myself. It helps to motivate but I just can't do it when riding on the road.
  12. That is appalling. What the hell is wrong with this country?!
  13. Smooth rim? Sounds great (To me anyway) getting pissed off with loud brakes.
  14. SLX are the shizzzz!! Get them!
  15. This video is the only thing that has made me want to ride trials in months! Excellent sir!!
  16. I might look into it to be honnest. I'm using the granny less and less to be honest. managing to ride most things with a 36t ring up front at the moment. If I dropped to a 32 again i think it could be done.
  17. Looks awesome. My mate has the same frame (in the same colour ), but a shorter stem would suit it down to the ground (I run a 65mm on my ragley which has pretty much the same geo). I still don't get 1x9 set-ups. Part of me wants to go that way for the ease of it, but my legs simply cant handle it around these cornish hills!!
  18. I might be tempted Rich. Although the geo is rather similar to the old Hifi isnt it?
  19. Ideal. Digging this as usual Mike . Got any oldschool techno mixes?
  20. If you want a brake that will work well no matter what the best pads ive found are the HSB Yellows. Mine last about a year, but I don't ride too often. There cheep too
  21. Loved every second of that! Fair play to him for doing all that on a full bouncer!

    Tubeless

Would be well up for a ride whenever Tuesday could be good. Do you venture into the Breccons much? We where planning a ride there at some point. Regarding my other topic, if I where to lock our bikes in my car (and lock them together, as well as to the car internally), do you think they would be thief proof?
  23. Im not sure where we are going to be staying yet. Part of my wants to stay at Glyncorrwg as its easy for the trails. Would that be ok Craig to do that? what time could we collect them in the morning?
