  3. Just a quick note. Myself and Mr Rankin and maybe some others from Chelmsford will be sessioning Harlow on thursday, we will be meeting roughly 6ish at the Sainsburys, close to the station. The more the merrier anyone welcome. Matt
  4. Haha, yeah I was afriad of that, 15 pages is a lot to trawl through, they deserved a second mention, well thats my excuse anyway.
  5. The easiest way to explain I'd say is getting your hips right near the front of the bike as you land, as your back rises to above height of the wall lift the front and throw the bike forward as if your stretching when your doing pedal up/ bunny hop etc, this will push the bike from where it was straight forward under neath you. If your ass is near the wall when you land on the front as in very forward you will easily stick your back wheel to it.
  6. I think for most people Riser bars are a must an depends on your height aswell, if your vetically challenged like myself something very short like an older revell etc (for sale ) would be better but some of the guys on longer bikes if can get enough leverage to pull up you could manual a longer bike.
  7. I find its more the warm down that stops me aching. I usually make sure the last spot I ride is the furthest from the car/ station so i can take a slow ride back to slow myself down and keep limber while my body cools down.
  8. Who remebers when Diamond back used to make very good trials frame, under diamond back racing (I think), White, were really light and rode sooooo smoothly.

    Creativity

To be honest give me a slope and a 1 foot high longish wall with a pallett and I would be more happy than ever. I have watched this sport change and evolve over 5 yearish and you see the same thing day in day out with who can go highest biggest, all it is is that these people are masters of the techniques which means generally they look all the same as they are all mastering the same technique, but with a few small objects you define the true creative sportsman of our world who can create something mind blowing out of pretty much nothing.
  15. Mind if I tag along guys, have that weekend off so would be good to ride with some one else than my mate i-pod for once ;p. Cheers Matt
  16. Some good shots there max, really enjoyed the day btw, thanks for letting me tag along. Matt

  18. Guys, I am preety much guarenteed to come, just need to know, how many riders? What time? Where are you all meeting? Cheers Matt
  19. Hi, is this ride still goin ahead? Maybe interested in coming down, Havn't ridden London in a long time and all riders in my area have given up, . Where in London you planning to go? What time? Cheers Matt
  20. I havnt' watched vid yet, but techincally he sidehopped up 10 pallets if that still is of him stuck, but and this is a big but he wouldnt be able to sidehop that high in inches onto a wall, so easiest way to resolve is that he can sidehop up ten pallets but not a wall 10pallets high. But kudos to him, fooooooooooooooooking huge.
  21. To be perfectly honest I have used all sorts of crap and have always gone back to a light grind with soft pads. I found tar was just messy and you start with a little and you end up using more and more as with all the above methods as they coat the rim and leave crap all stuck in your pads. I have used monty brake spray and it never worked well in my opinion as too much would stick your rim to the pad and using the method described above meant it lasted about 15 minutes riding till you started to feel as if you wanted more. The above problem with every single method above is water and as we are all aware autumn is apon us even though summer never seemed to apper. If any and i mean any get slightly damp then they slip like you don't have a brake then you have to properly clean them all off before reapplying which is a bitch, there are 2 things for you to do and a third if you want. 1. Clean your rim with white spirit and take your time and make sure all crap is gone. 2. Properly set up your maggies or v's with decent pads, if they don't grip they are not set up correctly or need bleeding. 3. Grind your rim, it doesn't need to be harsh just an edge but that way you never have to worry about gripping only the price of replacing pads. The best set up I have ever had was a very very very clean d521 that i use to clean every ride with muc off and some plaz pads. I spent a tonne of time setting up and it used to work a treat. My current set up is also very good which is a light grind on a koxx rim with red rimjam pads, echo booster. If you need tips on setting up maggies my best advice is when I set them up i tend to put the maggie tight to the rim square with the bolts loose, the slowly pull the lever till it is at the point which you would want brakes to lock. release and tighten the maggie bolts, this has never failed, once you can set them up well this way you never have to touch them and it only takes ten minutes to set them up properly eachtime after. Matt
  22. That's preety kool, chelmsford is about a 40 min drive for me which I dont mind, I've added you to msn so I'll have a chat on there if not, I'll pm you my number and you can give me a text when your next riding.
  23. I live in Broxbourne, closest large riding town is Harlow, I work in basildon as of next friday so southend or basildon area would be cool after work.
