  1. I'm going out to a Mexican on Friday for a friends birthday. About 25 of us are going so we have had to pre-order. Nachos for starters followed by Chili Beef Burrito for me I have just gone for the 'Hot' option on the Burrito, they also do an 'Industrial' option which I have had previously but they have since changed chefs so I didn't want to risk it this time
  2. I know I only just posted but this also needs to be added
  3. NSFW. http://i.imgur.com/KsMhq.gif
  4. You didn't wait long enough you idiot, people have lives outside of t-f you know
  5. The thing that has really surprised me about the 1.8 20vt in my Leon is how smooth the power delivery is. I was really expecting the turbo to kick in and push me back into the seat more but it is just really smooth. I imagine with a decent tune taking it to 250-300bhp could easily still be done in a way that the power is delivered in a predictable manor. I almost didn't post this because of my very limited mechanical knowledge but meh I will post this anyway Out of interest, are there any other mini's with either engine mounted in the rear? I think it not be cool to go for the most unusual and different option
  6. Just spent a couple of hours hoovering out my car, front and back was easy but the boot is an absolute twat and is going to take at least another couple of hours to get anywhere near clean. Usually I wouldn't complain about having redheads in my boot (oooh errrr haha) but the previous owner must have had a ginger dog and the boot is covered in hair which is a nightmare to clean out. I am using a hair removal brush, the hoover and also plucking some of the hairs out with my fingers I will be happy once this job is finished! Next job on the list is to clean up the exhaust tips with some Autosol, I hope this is a much easier task!
  7. I do a few of the stretches in those links after xc/road rides. I was suffering with quite bad IT Band Syndrome but rest, some sports massages and stretching after longer rides seems to be helping. Now the weather is nicer I will be cycling more so fingers crossed I can keep on top of the problem! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iliotibial_band_syndrome
  8. Are you sure you will keep the car until the end of July?

    Hey !

There is a very large number of French speaking Canadians as well. Read up on it if you are actually interested: http://en.wikipedia....guage_in_Canada If you are based in Vancouver and want to bike and snowboard I think Whistler would probably be a good place to start.
  10. Comedy cock graffiti on Olympics cycling route http://www.getsurrey.co.uk/news/s/2113877_obscene_graffiti_on_olympics_cycling_route
  11. Jardo - Cheers for the informative post that could be read as you either having a positive or negative opinion of R-Tech, very helpful
  12. I had been doing a bit of research into maps and Revo maps do seem to have very bad reputation. Bad fuelling, too much boost etc... apparently caused by it just being a 'standard' code made to suit German laws where fuelling is not allowed to be tweaked? I think the custom maps are meant to be better. There was an interesting thread on seatcupra.net regarding maps but it quickly got deleted when it got bitchy and r-tech got mentioned! From the research I have done I know that I will be very selective of who I allow near my car if I do ever get it mapped. In car related news, I am still loving my Leon. All my 'modifications' are now done, I have aero wipers that work, a Skoda Fabia rear wiper arm that works (and looks nicer), the CD changer in the glove box has been removed and replaced with a stowage box where I have fitted a connects2 USB unit. Sadly I am suffering with leaky door seals which is a very common problem that I will fix at some point over the summer. I might get the car mapped one day but for now I'm very happy
  13. Nope, your mum was too fat
  14. It was a 1.6, it did me well for all those years I owned it, f**k you Mr Car Snob
  15. That sounds similar to my car history, what's wrong with doing that?
  16. Southampton Parkway train station is literally just the other side of the road from the airport terminal, it is then only a very short trip to get to Southampton Central where you will easily be able to get a train to Portsmouth
  17. I have also been listening to a lot of Pretty Lights recently. One of my faves is below, the bonus is that all the albums are available free on his website http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yU5434lQmQc
  18. A quick google seems to agree with what has already been said. Truvativ and Shimano use different sizes but you can get adaptors so Truvativ cranks can be used with the Shimano Hollowtech BB's. I'm not sure what the newer Truvative BB's are like but I owned a few quite a long time ago and they died very quickly whereas the Shimano BB's I have owned since have all lasted ages...
  19. The Deore, XT/SLX and Saint you have just linked to, will all come as complete BB's. You will get the cups with bearings pre-fitted, the plastic tube that sits between the cups and the BB spacers to go between the cups and the frame. It is awkward to replace just the bearings so you replace the cups and bearings in one go.
  20. Agreed, Shimano BB's are bomb proof! I have run external Shimano BB's (XT and Saint) on my XC and DH bikes for years, I seem to get a good couple of years out of them depending on conditions etc... I'm not sure if there is actually any difference between the bearing quality of Deore compared to XT or whether it is just lighter cups on the XT offering. From what you have said I would just go with the Deore BB
