  1. Depends on your budget really, la sportiva gandas are great, but horribly expensive, five ten guide tennies might be worth looking, so could be daescents. The north face scend are pretty nice and softer than forementioned if you prefer softer feel...Or my favourite mammut obelisk, not very expensive, sole just stiff enough and very grippy and well made overall.
  2. Any approach shoes with flat(not agressive pattern) sole...Terrex solos are popular for a reason
  3. It looks completely normal.
  4. Yes you are wrong, you wouldn´t feel anything different from normal forks, just like lefty forks feel normal.
  5. Dude, you´re so naive...Yes it is, if video is pretty much unwatchable it can and should get all the bad comments in the world. He is pro and he is paid to ride a bike and represent his sponsors. And if 10years ago they were able to film damn good vid like this for example http://vimeo.com/31322547 I´m sure with all the modern cameras, editing softwares and shit they could make something comparable ffs. And to this pogo stick thingy, I understand it´s hard to admit it since you own one, but don´t worry, there´s no shame in that
  6. From simmilarity of his bike to pogo stick. And I told you we know who your role model is The video was the worst vid since vid of Giacomo made by Franky Chastel, which shown his shoes more than his riding.
  7. I used to weight 220 and only z610hx chain I snapped was over 6months old.
  8. Lol, we all were saing that except the guy I quoted in my first post
  9. Those on fixies won´t be that hard to take of really, much different gear ratio and type of riding, you´re also using pedals to slow down, which won´t let sprocket to get stuck this bad. +Bigger wheel gives you more leverage if you have to take it off and chain doesn´t snap.
  10. Hm, it´s your fault to use split link and buy wrong tube though
  11. Flex properties aren´t the same it there is/was weld. Even after smoothing it off that part of tube won´t be the same, but closer to that than without doing it. The point is you want stress to be distributed equally over the biggest area possible. So far I´ve seen very few frames crack anywhere else other than at weld and that was pretty much always because of tube beeing dented.
  12. Sure it does, but making it smooth and thinner allows it to flex more. I might be wrong though,Rob Leech could help to clear that up?
  13. No, weld does create stress riser because it changes properties of material making it harder but more brittle at the same time.
  14. Cable stretch might had been an issue 10years ago, modern cables are pre-stretched, so there is no amount of stretch human fingers could sense. So with maggies you have two options-leaky brake which feels almost as good as vee, or brake that feels like shit and doesn´t leak? Nice. But seriously, my bro has 05 maggie with 4finger lever and bled with antifreeze,LGM pads, it feels nice and all, but it doesn´t have hold of my vee even with 4bolt booster nor it´s as easy to pull the lever.
  15. Race lines are rare, that´s why they are expensive(relatively), also some people prefer them for their durability. All HS brakes are hydraulic.
  16. Not really, number of topics with title:"Something´s wrong with my magura" only proves it. I don´t know if I have seen here topic about vees not working, I´m very positive I haven´t. They are easier to setup or repair if something goes wrong as well. No sticky or swollen pistons, no air in the system, no pad wobble or broken crossovers. So yeah, not really easier to maintain.
  17. 8inches away is IMPOSSIBLE at bigger sized hops.Unless he uses bars that are 16inch wide.
  18. It won´t work once you get closer to bar height.
  19. 8inches away???you do realize that´s very close for heights bigger than 10cm?
  20. 203rotor is coming soon(next week actually).
  21. If you can go straight up to 5pallets without pedaling, you´re magician lol.
