  1. Ok guys I'm after some help on modifying my top mount. Id like to go lower on my car but the coil overs are all the way down. I've bought a new top mount to toy around with the idea of basically making it slimmer, therefore bringing the whole strut closer to the vehicles body. It's this top mount : Thanks in advance to anyone that can help
  2. The crabs was going to be done but seeing as though I have to work with him, it will probably back fire haha. Decided on sending her husband a valentines card ( she left a returns package sent to her address in the reception so I've got her address ) and I'm sending his 80 year old mother a dildo wrapped up with ribbon and a pack of battery's.
  3. A meg's kit from Halfrauds isn't bad! Comes with 2 bars of clay, some polish/wax and a micro fibre and quick detailer. Thorough wash, clay bar to remove 'contaminants', polish, then seal it all in with a good quality wax. If your on a budget or just not wanting to spend a grand on wax, Poorboys Natty blue wax is really good. I've found it easy on and off and lasts for a good while. It might be worth looking into tar remover as well mate. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_253057_langId_-1_categoryId_255233
  4. I work in car garage so that will be pretty obvious. The receptionist is a women who has a partner, and the guy i work with lives at home with his Mum and daughter.
  5. Right.. Last year, a guy from work and the receptionist joined together and sent a card to my home address. It was pretty obvious that it was them, in fact I'm 100% its them because i overheard them talking about it when they did it last year I didn't tell them that i knew and i acted really frustrated at work, which really made them laugh, obviously! Now i want to do something to them this year, without it being obviously me. Being totally unoriginal and out of decent ideas, I've turned to Trials Forum's advice I was thinking of buying them both a nice box of laxative chocolates or maybe something with viagra in it, but if i do this at work and they end up going home, it probably wouldn't go down well. What have you guys done / thought of that i can do? Sam
  6. Don't always assume that because your an apprentice, you'll get apprentice wages. Im on my 2nd, coming to 3rd year of being an apprentice and am on a really good wage. I don't want to sound like I'm bragging or anything but just thought I'd let you know! In my course ( Motor vehicle ) there is only 1 lad who's on minimum, and he's a wet blanket
  7. I'm sure ive read somewhere that it runs a self diagnostic test and the noise is confirmation that everything is okay. Not sure how true this is. Im just confused as to why it now doesn't make the start up noise.

    Films!?

Watched Olympus has fallen a few nights ago. Didn't expect much buts it was actually very good!
  9. Can anyone help with my iMac? When i first got it, it used to make the Apple start up noise when booting it. Now it doesn't? Hasn't done for a while and im confused as to why it would stop! The volume settings are not muted. Any other suggestions?
  10. In othernews.. I got some new wheels! These are going to fun getting on!

  12. Considering the stuff we see come into our place thats half decent Jake! I'd considering seam sealing it, and if thats a hole where the welder has burnt through cover that. Then look up Shutz. Its a wax oil to prevent any rust reoccurring again
  13. That was aimed towards to second guy i quoted, should of said sorry! I have the same opinion as you
  14. Looks good George! How you finding the switch? I found it a it less flicky compared to the riding mod. But i found gaps and to fronts easier as the bike was longer/higher up!

    Sailing Goat

I like your style! I hate that song. Goat or no goats
  16. I know your not arguing, but it's like your trying to convince us eating dead animals is "a little bit strange"
  17. That was good! Different to other comp videos which was nice.
  18. Took your advice here Dan, 10 minutes in boiling water, and then heated with a hair dryer and it went on so much better with little to no splatter! Thanks Arb is looking good. Noticeable difference straight away from the first drive?
  19. Yeah i did start to think to myself about no seeing any gains past 600grit. Didn't know that about the wet drying when doing the silver. I'm not sure if its my technique or the can but i found the rattle can spitting quite a lot, which left the freshly painted surface quite rough? Will keep that in mind doing the others! Thanks
  20. Decided to refurbish my wheels seeing as though they're off for winter. They all have a bit of curb rash and one has/ had a chunk missing from inside the dish. Anyway ill let the photos do the talking. I really enjoyed doing it and am happy with the results seeing as though its my first time Gave the wheel a full wash to remove any previous wax/ sealant that i'd put on using a multi purpose degreaser. Iron X pulling out any other contaminants i missed: Sanding the curb rash flat ready for filler Bought Metalik from Halfrauds, which is a filler with iron particles in it. 'Its like replacing metal with metal" When on really easy and is not to bad to sand down Some advice, dont do it in your room like i did, its really messy and has quite a strong scent Started with 120 wet and dry and ended up with 1200 using all in between. Keyed the old paint ready for primer. Forgot to take photos of putting the primer on.. Put 3 coats on wet and drying in between coats Applied around 4 coats of paint, again wet and drying between coats Put roughly 4 coats of Lacquer on it without wet and drying and im really happy with how it turned out: Only 3 more to do
  21. Been working at a small independent garage for nearly 3 years. My mums car had a new engine put in there and she recommended ringing up and asking for some experience to see if i liked it. I rang them up and luckily at the time their other apprentice was on holiday which meant i could work whilst he's off. Did a week there and really enjoyed it, then the boss said i better stay. Started off on a really basic wage, now ive got an apprenticeship and am just of £10 an hour which im really happy with! It gets a bit repetitive doing PDI inspection on near new cars when there's nothing wrong with them, but then it has its more interesting jobs like doing cambelts ect. So far loving it, and hoping to do my MOT licence when im qualified next year
  22. My dads recently moved into a listed building up in the middle of nowhere. There's a big manor house - im guessing these houses where for the workers. So far, there's been two new next door neighbours to the house attached that have left because of weird things happening. Both couples and one family so far left because of things moving. The house is very cold and dark which makes it really eery at night. Every time i stay there you can can really loud noises of stuff being moved around at night. Christmas evening we all left the bowls that we had ice cream in on the table and i could hear the spoon in them being hit. They where in a completely different formation on the table as well. Weirdddd
  23. When we ride London we always park on Doon Street as its free. It a 2 minute walk from the Eye too so always worth a go. If that fails theyre building a new car park right next to it https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?client=safari&q=Doon+street+london&oe=UTF-8&ie=UTF-8&ei=drLBUvjEF_Hn7AbyoICgAQ&ved=0CAoQ_AUoAg
