  1. Absolutely stunning. And it's survived some proper riding! Guessing it's been heat treated?
  2. This has happened to me from day one, and my new freewheel was fitted by Tarty to new cranks. Basically your freewheel is isn't perfectly round.
  3. Thanks for the replies guys... had a hectic few days of moving my stuff back home and then a stag weekend. I doubt I'll be able to make it to Taunton until I get my car insured again in July. I'll get in touch with some of you guys once I get this sorted
  4. Now that uni has finished I'm coming back home to Langport, roughly between Yeovil and Taunton. My riding mates are staying up North so I'm wondering who else here rides trials in Somerset. I've seen a few threads by people in the area, but they're all a few years old. I'm quite near Ham Hill, which being a quarry is a half decent natural spot. Who rides where?
  5. Thought as much. It's a nice idea. Wish I'd thought of it first Wordpress is so nice to theme compared to bulkier CMSs with templating engines...
  6. I do agree with what you're saying... particularly about the poor standard of trials related site design. But I'm still not overly clear on what you're actually trying to sell... Is it just a customised Wordpress installation with your theme (which is nice, by the way), plugins, settings etc? So you sell the installation and then it's up to the site owner to do the rest? The installation, the hosting, the backups, SSHing into the server when you discover that your host has mauled php.ini... How's the ankle?
  7. Rewriting a device's memory - can be used to update firmware etc. A little bit like installing a new OS on your PC, except if it goes wrong your phone can become an expensive paperweight. On the older SEs it was painless. Not sure about the W995 but I'm sure a search will tell...
  8. SEs are really easy to flash. Pretty sure you can use the standard cable? It'll get rid of any annoying branding as well. Before spending any money I'd do this.
  9. IMO for freeing sticky pistons, GT85 is more useful as a cleaner than a lubricant. Spraying with GT85 while pumping the lever helps work the dirt out of the seal where it can be wiped away. Obviously the PTFE helps things slide though...
  10. Just got back from a referral to a physio about my knee. I hit the stem a few times in March and still have a painful wobbly lump on my right patella. Now I always wear my 661 Kyle Straits My shins are fairly grim though... I get looks when I wear shorts. But knees are delicate things in comparison and need protection IMO. Other than that... gloves, helmet.
  11. +1 for Tensile or Echo Avoid Rockman freewheels
  12. Guessing you made that from the video stills? The first picture makes the drop look pretty small...

  14. Slow and controlled Shame about the chain slap... and the crack...
  15. It's just as much your frame/booster set up as it is the pads you're using. A flexy setup makes more noise than a stiff one. My brake was silent for a few rides after I got a booster.
  16. Wait a sec, why are you ordering more? The 09 Onza Blade comes with Tensile offset mounts?
  17. Get the threads chased by your LBS.
  18. When the bike was new they would have been fitted so that the offset moved the pads closer to the rim, not further away. Unless you're running a really wide rim you want them like they were set up in the factory. If your rim is more than ~40mm you might need some new, non offset mounts.
  19. Oooooh did you say Manchester? Whereabouts? 3 or 4 of us meet at Edinburgh Bicycle Cooperative next to the Curry Mile on Tuesdays and ride down Oxford Road to the centre. That said, uni is nearly finished and I'm going back down South after that... Bike looks sick
  20. Get an Onza made in the last couple of years and you won't go wrong. But yeah, the best bike you can afford/justify.
  21. Think I've received one every month for the last year or so with my subscription to .net magazine. PM me after Friday and I'll see if I can dig one out for you.
