  1. Yeah Bin Laden studied English and apparently his life ambition was to become a poet!
  2. Not my words, it's what it says in Hopes instructions, plus I believe I said can not will and extreme changes in heat can cause cracking in metals.
  3. There are both comp and street riders who I have met who love the Urbans, I ride 26" Inspireds on my Fourplay and would say that they are probably the nicest street forks I've ever ridden hope that helps.
  4. I found that if you ride along and slam the brake on/off it beds quicker, but it's all down to personal preference. Also you're not supposed to use water as it can crack the rotor because of the extreme changes in heat, I heard it's not good for the pads either but don't know why to be honest.
  5. I have a set if you want them, there at £1000 buy it now on eBay...
  6. Little bit of a thread hijack here but my friend has a Phase 1.2 and Tensile mounts and there is no space for his '33 with his (i think) Onza rim, can anyone help? Ps sorry for the hijack but I thought while the minds were already gathered I'd take advantage of it
  7. Personally I find my pre 2011 Fourplay disgusting and tricky on rocks but I do ride with a friend who has one also, rides natural often and has no problems or complaints. I have also heard of a few competition entries on 24" Inspireds but have never heard the results. I know John Shrewsburry rode a Hex at the British Champs this year and there's a snippet of some natty on the Element in one of his recent vids. So yeah possible but personally not favoured
  8. I would say that it's no use then, unless you know of a 28h hub for sale? But if it's not worth much theres no real benefit from selling it, I'd hold on to it incase a hub does come up? That's what I'd do anyhow.
  9. ahh true, was hard to tell through the old school pixelation! I would have no where near as much flowy-ness on one of those as he does, hats off and many man points to you sir!
  10. what frame is this? Looks like an Ashton Cracknfail to me?
  11. Yeah I cut the extended 'shoulder' off so I could use the bolts that came with it, luckily the placement seems ok hence my 'seems to fit the frame correctly'. Please excuse my rushed, confusing and grammatically incorrect question everyone!!
  12. This^^ replacing the quick release with a bolt and a washer. I'm sorry if the question made me sound like some sort of special but it was rushed. Its obviously not perminant but my bank balence reads £1.29 at the mo I wouldn't have thought my frame would snap straight away as I am using Magura clamps as, well Magura clamps, just modifying the attachment method to what the frame requires?
  13. I recently picked up a set of White 07 Hs33s, they are evo2 kits and I run normal 4bolt mounts on the rear, I have started modifying the actual clamps and they seem to fit the frame. Is there anything I should watch for which might lead to damage once they are in use though stress? Im sire this must have been done before so has anyone got any tips or pointers really? TO CLEAR THINGS UP I'M ASKING ABOUT TURNING EVO 2 CLAMPS INTO 4 BOLTS Thanks Dave
  14. Southbank in London, going over Christmas, it should be pretty dope
  15. yeah I run Pro2 on my Inspired and a Shimano freehub on my Leeson, probably the best way to go for street. Oh btw me and Conradm94 have the same signature :$ do you want me to change mine?
  16. So very true a store manger by my way calls chainstays rear forks! There are normally one or two employees per store who are interested and actually technically minded but all the others are just randomers. The worst thing I have ever experienced is a bikehut manager dropping a headset press on my shiny new Fourplay frame, there was swearing!
  17. sorry to bring this back up but I've just read the thread and it reaks of, well retardedness; I can smell your special scent from here!
  18. in what aspect? call me stupid but I should imagine a £7 caliper on CRC is probably not up to scratch, mind you I've been wrong before and I only thought of Avid because my mate runs Ultimates and they are simply amasing! Really really compuzzled now tempted toward an SD5 me thinks.
  19. Hi I'm a bit confussled as i've always been a hydro man, I hope you can help me out. Apart from around £6 and 25g I can see no real difference (weight weenie I am not). Is there anything that should persuade me to buy the SD7 caliper (I want to run SD7 leavers anyhow)rather than the 5? Any bad experiences, difference in performance, or build qualtiy I should know about? Tell me anything really I just have no idea when it ccomes to vees
  20. My friend works in Halfords and in his store at least they've added tarty to the special order supplies list, it might be worth a try though?
