  1. Just my opinion, but I definitely don't think you will find the stuff on the Skye and Arcade very valuable as a beginner. I started off on a 09 Fourplay and that was a massive mistake. Look at the Onza Zoot or Inspired Element if you have your heart set on street trials, otherwise you would learn significantly faster on a dedicated mod/stock trials bike.
  2. Welcome to the forum. Perhaps have a look at this thread: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/topic/184628-such-a-hard-choice-inspired-arcade-news-and-info/
  3. I thought one of the main ideas of buying expensive / 'pro' quality lenses was that you don't have to worry about them in harsh conditions, allowing you to not miss that important moment unlike cheaper lenses? At least that was the reason I bought my 17-40 Canon L.
  4. This particular one involved 83 photos haha I shot each picture in S Raw then processed the files as 1.6mp jpegs to save a bit of processing time, but it was probably about 20 minutes from opening the file to getting to the end result. Well worth it in my opinion. There is a slight stitching error on the front wheel but other than that this one worked out okay. Pretty fun technique to do imo. This was another one, however the sticking on and above the bars didn't work out very well, hence the poor crop
  5. I decided to do something different today whilst taking photos of my new mtb, and had a go at the 'Brenizer Method'. The look this technique gives is super cool, especially considering I did this on a crop camera with a 50mm lens.
  6. Have to agree there. I actually found this to be my favourite video of Euans and didn't care whatsoever about the fact it was 1990s DV cam quality
  7. Congratulations Mike, thats an incredible achievement. Very well deserved too judging by the quality of images you post on here
  8. Dunno why the call that a behind the scenes video, as it isn't really
  9. Assuming its this one based off a quick Google search. http://www.vimeo.com/78626652
  10. Those are some very light coloured tyres! Looks awesome though.
  11. That should be fine if you ask me. I run a Maxxis Ultralight 20" tube in the front wheel of my 24 and haven't had any problems so far, so I can't see why you would have any issues running a slightly thin 26" tube in a 26" wheel.
  12. Harmer you are the best camera guy the world has ever seen, the banter makes the videos so good to watch Burkett killed everything too, just awesome to watch.
  13. Might wanna check out Matt Granger's comparison videos, part 1 is here I own the 70-300 VC which is part of the same 'SP' (superior performance) line of lenses and having used the canon 70-200 f/4 L, I have to say the build quality of the Tamron is far better, as are the focus and zoom rings. Obviously this isn't apples for apples as you are talking about the 2.8 versions and the Nikon 70-200, however I just thought I should chip in to say that you should really consider the Tamrons as they really are excellent lenses.
  14. This weekend I went along to the Cambrian Rally which is recognised as one of the best rallies in the U.K. I had originally planned to film the event, but after a few problems (like the forest stage I went to being cancelled), I decided to just take some photos and just enjoy the event. I ended up going to the final stage of the rally (SS9) which was a short route around the Great Orme in Llandudno, with some of the top cars breaking the 3 minute mark. I thought I would post some on here as I know there are a number of TF guys who are car nuts, so hopefully they will take some interest The officials making their final preparations at the start line of the stage. The Ford Escort was a very popular entry. Witnessing a Lancia Stratos fly past was very special, this one driven by Steve Perez. Everyone seemed to be taking snaps of the cars. The crowds got bigger as the sun began to fall, with the last few drivers taking to the stage. So close yet so far, this 206's clutch just couldn't hold out, failing at the start line. The long walk back to the services. A few Group B cars also took to the final stage, providing demonstrations for the crowds.
  15. Ahh okay, you're after a TRA kind of one

  17. You're forgetting that you can't mount a freewheel or sprocket onto a left hand crank as there is no thread or spline.
  18. Opening your SL freewheel to find you've been riding with 6 pawls is worrying :P
