on uk roads you definatley turn right more than left because of roundabouts however i dont know if this has anything to do with brake setup.
our brakes are that way round because the british made them that way.
The reason others are diffrent is because the japs decided it was cheaper to mount the gearbox diffrentley on motorbikes (something to do with the way drive is transfered)and that ment the brakes were mounted the other way if you want me to, i can find out more, but basically its because the japs found a cheaper way to make it (as always) and this ment alot of the world got the cheaper more reliable jap bikes so did it there way as we stuck to our guns and did it our way.
