  1. thanks so far so doesnt help setting up toed anything??? i have nearly zero punctures,so my pads wear down before that happens lol and my pads have a good fit on the slave pistons, aswell as a narrow rim distance
  2. if we had something like radfest in bavaria it would be awesome. at least because we have the real beer! :wink2:
  3. i dont know how often this has to be discussed here but i need some advice: being using plastic backings so far i noticed the usual unevenly wear on the backwards facing area of my rear pads. been set up square, tpa off etc bla... so i wondered if anyone tried to set them up "unsquare",means like what you´d called toed i think, and if this worked out as a good trick? as i am going to get my cnc backings i bought from bradjohnson on here soon(hopefully, mail from uk to ger is slow as hell),and making my own pads,i´d ask if this problem is with cnc pads too,or not. i know i shouldnt set up cnc´s toed, thats why i´m asking thanks guys n gals
  4. sorry didnt want to sound that way,i change parts when they snap/crack/wear down, except for drivetrain parts like chain...
  5. if you look closely at the bikes in"premium rush" you´ll see that theyre fixies, actually theyre built from bmxy parts when it comes to stems, and the tubeset of a fixie frame is much stronger than of a road bike. other thing is that a movie doesnt show how much stuff got damaged during filming, you just get to see the end product
  6. i´m tempted to use pigments too,but for now i ordered a fireproofing agent, the guy said it reduces the wear and gives some stiffness(hardens it up by 2-10 degrees shore, depending on how much you add) maybe this?
  7. 2003-2008:various dj and street bikes 2010:marino 24" 2013:marino "the cuy!!!" what i see here is that people go through loads of cheese frames, while the cromo faction is keeping their bikes for years and years. first marino is still like new in technical sense
  8. respect! micro balloons are stiffening up the stuff,or fiber powder
  9. automotive show in my hometown today and this strange looking mannequin doing a "ssssstrike"-pose standing in the middle of the street, couldnt resist
  10. if i take my seat off it should be ok to enter this thread too lol its so trialsy that it isnt a street bike really, but it looks so streety that it isnt a pure trials bike by the looks either haha
  11. i like how he tried to man up and finish the section with the broken wheel, funny
  12. waiting for my resin, its from overseas... 3 weeks now, does come by ship as it seems lol edit:seen youve gone for 70a,thats really soft, thought about a filling agent ? you could just wax the wooden mould
  13. in germany we use the word "zunder" wich means tinder and is the black stuff welding and heat treating leave on metals, powder doesnt grip on that stuff at all...
  14. sounds like youre going for something special colourwise
  15. did she have a pencil stuck in her...? :wink2:
  16. you have to find the spot where it isnt stiff,i think you knocked on the side where it already was under tension its like left right left right, each punch with less amount of force,so the bearings and axle can align to each other. with checking how its turning after every one. i didnt say "hit it with a hammer so it can jam up" i meant "gently" obviously
  17. http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/26_inch_stems/c41.html nearly every stem in that category is light and strong, and syntace for example make the strongest light stems on the market. my syntace superforce weights 190g with 120x20°,and is intended for downhill, as 3/4 of all syntace stems. security and semi-lightweight is the compromise for me to save my teeth. 100g for a stem would work in road racing, but how often do you jump with a road bike?
  18. http://www.zipp.com/stems/slspeed-stem/ wait,i just got it i think:youre willing to spend about 200gbp on a stem that most likely will crack/snap within weeks? for that amount ofmoney you´ll get 3 or 4 superlight trials stems, thats 8 years of stem lifespan! o m g !
  19. ^^i fancied doing this too,but i knew its not over, even without me joining the joke lol
  20. i think its cool to see how someone dares to do his naive kind of asking questions/setting statements. i havent got the opinion hes simple minded or something,he seems to be branded by the way of live thats going on in the ex-udssr-countries,thats all. and i found out translating what you want to say while keeping the message isnt always easy, and thats for me as a german with a semi-good english... :wink2:
  21. did you just change your avatar to pull the ban hammer out? awesome lol
  22. knock the bb axle slightly with a hammer from both sides, holding a piece of wood or something against it. should release the tension in the bearings. slightly!
  23. isnt plastidip some kind of rubber coating? just out of interest,i imagine it to be funny if a black rubber coated frame gets "sticky" when riding in the sun
  24. http://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=carbon+trials+stem how many worthy results?
