  1. Out of curiosity aren't those exact copies of the old RB levers, without the carbon fiber?
  2. I think 29" is too large; impractical.
  3. Being in a long distance relationship is driving me crazy.
  4. Cheers Al, where in Liverpool are you? I'm on the road now so wouldn't mind making the trip to Bootle or wherever you ride.
  5. I may be able to make it after 5PM as I'm working
  6. Hey, I've just started riding again and as my friends have quit I'm looking for some new riding pals from or around Southport, as riding on my own kinda sucks. My msn is adam_2uk@hotmail.com.
  7. I don't think it's expensive if you're not pressured into buying the newest releases. When I started trials a few years ago I had a bike which cost me around 300 pounds and it was great. It was just my constant urge to upgrade everything and buy new parts when the older parts were fine, I was buying things simply because they were new. Eventually I worked out my bike was worth around 1200 at retail and i had spent over 2000 on trials at 16/17 years old - Crazy!. I ended up with a BT 5 frame when they were just released and ordered a new king from aspire velotech and everything was up to date, it was my dream bike. Since then I've quit and now I'm getting back into it, I'm now expecting a second hand full build T-MAG sometime this week. It's costing me around 50 pounds and I'm quite confident It's not going to cost me anymore than 150 to keep it running for the year. Unfortunately the misconception of riding a T-MAG is that everyone thinks your some kind of new trials looser as there is a such a wider, better variety these days. I know I will enjoy it though and this time I'll be more careful with my money because to be honest the bike I had before I quit was perfect, although I feel spending all of that money was just for the sake of it because it was my hobby, it never did help me progress much. Also check out the bargains in the for sale section! You can get a pretty mint second hand bike for around 200-400 now.
  8. That was such an awesome video, definatly one of the best I've ever seen!! Editing was spot on and all the footage and angles were perfect. Who was that rider with the black frame and pink rims?
  9. Nor is hitting your head but you still wear a helmet. If you want to be more cautious then go for it.. Some form of male fanny protection may take off although I'm sure it would have to be a redefined cup which was comfortable for trials. Information about Deng which doesn't en tale of "LOLZ CNCED 'ED LOL" can be found here

In the bottom right corner where the numbered measure is. You see where it goes from white to blue? hover your mouse around the margin where the colors swap and it should allow you to reduce/increase the size of the margin. I think thats what you mean, hope it helps.
  11. Well you've kind of gone and locked yourself into buying an NVIDIA chipset motherboard to support SLI. Which Corsair RAM did you buy? And whats the processor model? Unfortunately as you've gone and made SLI a must have, the decent NVIDIA chipset motherboards are incredibly expensive (overpriced some would say). So how much cash are you left with? The best budget SLI board available IMO is the Asrock PENRYN1600SLI-110DB (40-50pounds) I can't really comment on any SLI motherboards because I haven't had any experience nor have any knowledge of them but I would avoid the ASUS P5NE-SLI. Also, what case are you using? How are you keeping it cool? And more importantly what PSU are you using? My 8800GT runs HOT and powering 2 8800GTs is going to take a decent PSU and not just a high watt PSU. EDIT: I've just actually read the thread Ok, so, You're NOT going to find a mATX SLI ready motherboard, so what case is it your using because that system is going to generate a lot of heat under load at stock speeds. Have you ever seen an 8800GT? They are LONG and don't fit in many older mATX cases as the HDD mounting racks get in the way. SLI doesn't mean that having two 8800GT's is going to run twice as fast as one 8800GT. This is in theory the general concept although as Krisboats said, hardly any programs/games support SLI technology. The 80quid is better of in your pocket or being spent elsewhere. That is just my opinion though.
  12. I do this frequently and find it only happens when I'm reading from a book or magazine, it's quite annoying. I'm not dyslexic, I think it's more due to loosing concentration or something. Some kind of mental spiral or something. The same way in which I believe some people make them selfs believe they are dyslexic because there spelling/grammar isn't good which gives them the mental idea that because they think they're dyslexic there spelling/grammar suffers.
  13. Tar does help although it can screw your braking up if you apply too much and takes ages to come off. It's generally just a messy alternative to having a nicely set up brake. Which is what you should be interested in experiment with pads and grinds. I wouldn't recommend tar. Although if it's tar you want, any old tar will do, roof tar, floor tar can be found around grids in the street etc.
  14. The Toshiba would defiantly get my vote. I'm not sure about the ATI card, although I only really know and trust the nvidia cards so I'm not sure if it's on par. If it's going to be your main computer in uni, I'm sure you would benefit from the 17" screen if you want to watch films, programs etc. Another reason I would choose the Toshiba 17" apart from being far better spec. As it's larger than the XPS the keyboard layout is a lot more comfortable and not as compacted as your standard 15" Laptop.
  15. Ah, I've just applied for a job at my local Dominos as a delivery driver Whats the pay like? And the hours? I could only imagine it being a few hours a night?

So I can do that straight away? I don't need to be driving with L plates for an amount of time before taking that test? Do you know how much those tests/lessons cost? Thanks for all your help.

    Motorbikes

Hello, I would like to buy a motorbike next year. I'm hoping someone can help me, I don't have a clue how much it will cost and what is needed. I have a full UK driving license and own my own car which I'm insured on. I don't know if that will help anything but the information I'm looking for is; - Is there a motorbike test? How long does it take, how much does it cost and what does it consist of? - How much is motorbike insurance for a 21 year old? - What size engine/bike do you need to drive on the motorway? Can I buy one of those straight away or would I need to buy a smaller bike? - Would it be legal for me to carry a passenger if I wanted too? And some general advice on buying a motorbike, with a budget or around 1000 pounds. Thanks in advance x
  19. Engine: Turbo Diesel 4 Cylinder Size: 1997cc Model: Peugeot 306 phase 2 GLX Driving Conditions: City+Motorway Combined MPG: 35 When on the motorway, not sure about city. Rated MPG (manufacture) Urban: 40.9 Cruise: 65.7 Speed: 54.3 Comments: Lately I've been trying to keep the revs just over 1k when driving around locally and I've seen a massive change.
  20. You would be so much better off with a better graphics card. An NVIDIA 8800GT would be much better for gaming, which I believe is what you want it for. You already have a Hanns.G 19" TFT monitor which I use myself and they are great. I couldn't justify spending 140 for an extra 3 inches. I could understand if it was a HD monitor but it's not. Although if it's really what you want, that is the best 22" you can for that price.
  21. To get it in safe mode keep pressing F8 when Windows is loading and a menu will pop up. The same to get it out of safe mode, although it should load Windows default.
