I basically did zero work for the last three years, failed an exam in my final year and still came out with a 2:1 from a pretty well respected uni. plus, coming from a state school they offered me 3 C's to go there to do the bachelors, and just let me on the masters in the "interview" where The Prof just kept bangin on about golf. The course was pretty booring to be honest - you get a massively diverse range of stuff on it which means you know a little about everything (alot from the dark ages). but there were some highlights and some really interesting projects. Plus going to uni is just fun. period. Id say. in hindsight (spells?). Pick somewhere nice to live and have fun - do enogh work to get it done, and pick something you are fairly interested in to do - dont worry too much about it. Its not that important. it doesnt set your life in stone from the moment you accept a course offer. RJ

Ididnt know you sprayed your mini yourself !! mega. so how much did it cost you to do - im guessing alot cheaper than to get it done by a pro ? also is this why your bike was red ?

just use a normal rim - with ace pads :lol: - grinds are for girlies :)

but if you scratch it - you are buggered... you get stress concentrations around scratches, which lead to premature failure - ITS NOTCH SENSITIVE.... not exactly ideal for trials is it (think about it - I scratch my frame nearly every time i go out!) Indeed - you have to weld it in inert gasses (is that the noble ones (?)) like helium and all them elements on the right of the old periodic. 650 is cheap for a ti frame - but the question is why for a trials bike. It just doesnt make any sense (unless you are unashamedly LOADED)

ok but how the f**k are you supposed to get the old bit out ? EDIT: ok after an hour of playing with drlls n stuff i got it out.

thats not the problem - its the bolts bendin and the frame twisting - can still happen even if youve got some silly machined bit on your bike. the booster stops the top of the bolts (and therefore brake) splaying outwards. Guaranteed it will be better with a booster on top.

I own a 1099 and ive had a go on a 1065 one..... and i can say that the short one feels really really short and the long one feels about the same as my 1060 pure !!! they both ride alot shorter due to the bb rise putting your feet near your hands and the slack headtube putting the front wheel way in front of your hands. both nice though. - They ride like big mods if you ask me. plus - if you want a fairly unused black long one . . . . . :P
