  1. obviously you have a pc - go buy a DVD burner - if it is a silly region thing then crack the thing onto your hd then bung it back onto an unregionized DVD - it will be worth it - the vid looks amazing - i honestly cant believe the 360 whip barspin . . . . (Y)
  2. Cant ride trials at the moment - although im off to visit the doctor/nurse and buy a brace for my arm...... Goodo ben two monkey bikes . . . .
  3. I did and i wet my pants but the walk/whip thingy was cool . . . .
  4. HAHAAAA - Ill be out rolling around on the bmx probably - maybe with the video camera or summut..... - still recovering from a severely buggered wrist (Y) See everyone out. (Y)

    My New Ride

Good luck with that inner tube protecting your downtube . . . . . hehe (Y)
  6. Give up guessing everyone - prepare to be shocked. (Y)
  7. I seems like there probably is room for more pawls - and quite a simple job to put em in as in machine the freehub body and drill the spring hole . . . it shouldnt make the freehub body much weaker but tough to make them an offset set. just more of the load spread out . . .
  8. much more impressive than barspins - i dont think ive ever seen anything look as silky smooth, super tech and just down right cool . . . . . :)
  9. ha ha ha and on and on... all the abuse about the forks . . . . why ? they are too chunky for the spindly steel frame looks wise - as they are ally so they need to be... but they are actually quite good to ride . . . and like he said - thats what its all about . . . his bike rides like a dream and its quiet as a mouse - i likes it alot :- PS Look out for the boons "new" technique drop offs in his next vid - awesome (Y)
  10. looks nice - see you in a minute then . . . .. .  rear tyre looks a little large for spins ?
  11. yer - tis true - happened to all the hope hubs i ever had and they are finally gonna do summut about it . . . . . trial hub . . yay you could file off the bits that stick out - as they could damage the ratchets but the ratches fit in the grooves already made
  12. looks loverly BOON signature frame .. . . . . what bb shell width does it use ???? and do you have to use a super long axle like on the 26 " curtis. . .? hehe
  13. Nice anyway . . . err supposed to be a trailer or teaser . . . . you cant tease use with riding along a high wall . . . . :D a glimpse of a decent tap and sidehoooop aint enough . . . but clearly as there is a trailer the actual vid will be legendary .. . . . :D
  14. ive ridden them they are identical in shape to echo urbans - but undoubtedly beefier . . . . ive been riding them for a couple of weeks . . . they are stiff as you like.... construction is very beefy ally legs and crown with beefy steel steerer bonded right in with a massive overlap. if i break em ill tell yer but. . . . . if boon breaks them ill be amazed.. . . so RJ
  15. yeah you are right - a carbon fibre rotor will shatter into pieces very soon.... as will all carbon fibre pieces if you scratch them they will get stress concentrations at that point and fail - so a carbon fibre disc rotor is possibly the most stupid and dangerous idea of all time .. . . some of the spacers a good idea - but again the cassette - silly - it wont work

    Mp3

I dunno - if you want something small get a solid state one like a 512Mb jobbie they all sound pretty similar - they weigh nought and last ages on batteries the creative micro thingy while nice looking doesnt sound great . . . . which i think is abit pants for a hd / microdrive player.. .. . not sure what the apple mini is like but the ipod normal sounds pretty good but is abit overpriced - its an apple!! had a go on a sony hd / micro drive thingy the other day - sounds pretty good - is nice and small - but again probs quite pricy . . . plus what are you using it for ? ? ? if your gonna ride with it - id recomend a solid state one or a microdrive - as with a hard drive it wont last too well.... as jumping it when its spinning up wont do it much good . . . . all i can say is mine is abit clumsy ( its a beast ) but its dirt cheap - lasts for ages on the batteries ( which are replaceable - meaning inexpensive if you use it alot ) - sounds fantastic - one of the best ive heard - open source firmware . . . easy to use... its a really old archos jukebox..... plus you could essentially buy a cheap one on ebay (in 6Gb variety) and upgrade to like 40 Gb for a couple of quid on ebuyer with a cheap laptop hard drive . . . . bonza RJ
  17. Not a 10ft vinco :( !!!!! noooooo - if it is can i have a go :S" ? i may be able to come now - having slapped a shite hub in the back wheel .... but then again i may be on a filming mission so i ll probs see people but not ride with them much - i wanna get alot done..... i dunno (headcam has landed :) ) May see you all there.... New Hub

ahh ok i see with the XC angle.... but is it less dish or something (or is it more ? icant remember the terms anymore) yeah youre probably right there wont be much difference..... it just doesnt look as good - fashion over function obviously . . . not sure id take an angle grinder to anything made by hope - its too classy (Y)

    New Hub

These new hopes do look nice - and abit better designed - moving that freehub body bearing closer in - genius - as the only problem ive ever had comes from busting axles without realising and mashing up the ratchets with the freehub body . . . . :"> not sure why they went with only four pawls - although the diameter of the ratchet thingy is bigger so they probably dont need the extra one.. .. .. . good idea with the offset pawls though - bigger teeth = stronger and offset pawls - less of a slam into engagement ...... maybe ill not eat for three months and buy one of those . . still a pity about having to have a disc mount . . . as non disc = stronger wheel build plus if you are an extreme weight weenie .. . . . .

    New Hub

So can i get some that will spin on an isis bb ? or is that only those tensile ones ??? yer i had thought of that..... dunno how much do you reckon for the set up ? im not really that keen on going front freewheel as there is gonna be a cassette hub (one day) from viz so seems abit silly ?? also just had a look on chain reaction to see about profiles (they dont have any so if anyone knows ...) and i saw those hadley hubs going dirt cheap . . . . . they look to have had real up and down reviews . . . . anyone know the score ?

    New Hub

ok my hope mono just died a horible death and i need a new hub anyone got any opinions which arent king king king..... like the profiles - what are they like ? anyway i just fancied getting some top forum advice - oh and the best place (cheapest) to get said hub would be handy - being a student sucks. Cheers RJ
