  1. Yeah i love my gold pants Dave . . . . . :-
  2. odd one this ..... I dont ride them because other people really care about them and what they mean to them ..... personally - im not keen on them - I dont like them because I dont really want to remember that a f**king shit load of people died for pretty crap reasons in pretty horrible ways, all the time - i know what happened I know that Theyre heros - but they did that so we can get on with stuff now.... so i would prefer if everyone had the same attitude and it was ok to ride on them - celbrate life ..... but as that aint gonna happen ..... NO RIDING - not because it will give trials a bad name but because of a little respect to peoples beliefs and feelings.
  3. Do the goon. or .... Do the goon again.
  4. Whats left now ? - engoedideeeeeeeeeee  BUGGER - TS was the stuff.
  5. I got mine from . . . . .. alansbmx.com .... dont know wether they still got any . :) - does this mean im a "good rider" or just copying too ??? to be honest its way comfier than my semi and its not a one whack and throw away jobbie - good stuff
  6. Bugger I cant go - EXAMS till the 7th (plus the cast dont come off till the 6th) Anyway as for the riding .... turn left out of the station up a short hill and go into the middle of the roundabout - then go straight through (? or follow the signs) and you will arrive at the top of the city centre trials run  within 5 mins of arriving - amazing riding. Plus all over there is some mega mega stuff - I used to live in devonport - there are some loverly lines up there . . .

    Trials..

Ha ha - nice - has that ever worked ? rarely i would guess - there are easier ways to sleep with girls than the blood sweat and tears of trials ...... Anyway - i do it because its a challenge and fun, and quite alot of the time the headphones go on and its pure escapism. It also means i can eat pretty much what i want - which is a bonus as im hopelessly addicted to chocs and biscuits.
  8. i think my best may be pushing 45" but that was a while ago - to be honest im pretty crap at them - i have to piss about for ages on the back wheel first and i go left from left foot forward - less than ideal . . . . probably why i broke my wrist sidehopping :) saw ashton go 44" over a bar first time on saturday in bristol city centre..... i consider that pretty large - over a bar no sideways tuck and from two wheels - LEGEND - plus he signed my fav poster .... . :turned: Also - Daves sidehops are pretty wicked style wise. . . . no silly tuck just pure beans.
  9. 22:18 at the moment with 22:17 for big rolly polly gaps but i used to be 22:19 - but the spider on my cassette broke so i was forced into dropping down - gives abit more oompffff pedalling into stuff
  10. I love you. my mate had a zaskar - what a bloody great bike. My first was a XC bike called "Tangerine Dream" - a cheap ally Tawainese frame with some nice parts (for XC). then after a year got a DMR sidekick - one of the first ones around . . . . and then a Orange Zero then my curtis and finally to my big long low silver echo 1060.
  11. aaaahhhh f**k metric, or even imperial - the magical world of blue pallet measuring has arrived. However I will be forever stuck in the past with the personalized I.B.N.H measurement (Inches Below Nipple Height). in this case im thinking a measurement of -ve a few is a good start . I think ive got the same problem as everyone else . . . . bunnyhopping too high as i always hit my front foot on top - no matter how hard i try. but ive found a great new practice ground so - when me arms fixed i will be learning them - as it is abit lame not to be able to.
  12. Just a question about the new trial disc brake - which pads does that use and are they the same size as the mini mono ones ? ? ? ? My pads are buggered you sees......
  13. Id say if i can do one then id wanna do both. Cast and transport permitting.
  14. Yeah but hawkins is totally mental - he thinks like 3 feet is enough for one ..... no Im thinking at least 10 ft to start with . . . and thats pretty big to be presenting your spine to - count me out.

  21. bloody hell - when did you get Koxx uk ? 1100 - thats abit of a change then . .. were you not on an onza only recently ? im not the tallest chap in the world - and i ride a 1060 pure - and its pretty light and i dont find it hard to bunnyhooop n stuff - 1060 you can still ride streety ish.
  22. Yeah i would like to ride one but there are a few things that put me off . . . . 1) Transport - expensive and difficult .. .. 2) I got abit put off when i went to watch the devon national round a year ago - for a couple of reasons - everyone was taking it soooo seriously (loads of bike throwing and competitive dads) and the actual course was a little dissapointing - considering it was a national round..... but the main problem is the transport . . . Plus my bike aint really set up for it - I hear you need brakes that work (N) ....

Its just that usually bike companies use material that was used in other industries - such as in building aeroplanes - then the technology filters down that way - like the carbon fibre example ...... starts out in F1 or something with limitless funding - ends up in a bike many moons later. I dunno - it just seems unlikely that a bike company would be solely responsible for making a new type of super aluminium alloy. i would have thought someone else would have done it and they bought rights but i guess im wrong then - i guess if a bike company makes an alloy it might be more suited to bikes !!!

You have to remember that ti is notch sensitive . . . . . meaning that if you scratch it you get stress concentrations at the scratches leading to failures. . . . not exactly ideal for trials - where frames are expected to be scratched and knocked. Plus you have to weld them in inert gasses - tricky !! This new stuff sounds abit like marketing bull from trek mind - if it were that great - no one would use anything else - and it is unlikely to be someting trek invented !!!
  25. Yer it is that night ride and sorry it is taken by seb rogers .. . . . but it is me on my curtis
