  1. not british i know but kita (sp?) the japanese rider is un f**kin believable. makes even the likes of savage and slinger look harsh and a bit sloppy... you've got to see him ride to really appreciate it, i'd even say he's smoother than benito and cesar, he's one inspiring rider to watch...
  2. yes - stretch your ham strings before and after every ride, the more you ride the shorter they get until they pull your back out of place and cause all sorts of trouble. other than that just upper body endurance weights and swimming. go for a big ride (or do a comp) and see which bits of your body dont work as well as the rest and build em up... catch me when i have more time and i'll do you a training rota if you want tom
  3. LMFAO hope the first trial goes well, i'll try and make to some of the later ones
  4. i cant beat it but you deserve a beating for ever wearing that!!!
  5. what concerns me more is in texas its illegal to have sex with a woman and her daughter at the same time... ... how many texans got caught doing this before they decided to make it illegal!!!
  6. i think that was cultivated chris... mind will arnold snapped a set too and he aint a harsh rider...
  7. if anyone decides they're going to edit the video and go to the effort of filming it and matching the scenes up for a club level comp they're pretty damn sad to be fair. lets keep it honest people, anyone who cheats will no doubt be found out one day and then the whole trialsforum will know how sad you are so please dont bother. otherwise get those entries rolling in...
  8. ok, for the mac users, what format do your video's normally end up as? if we can find something that i can play them on or if someone else with a decent computer is prepared to let me take up residence for a day or two to do the judging then i'll accept other files types. let me know how they normally come out and i'll see what i can do cheers tom
  9. thats not plain lazy thats due to me having the crappest laptop on the face of the earth and it only having media playing and no internet. i can check TF in uni but can't download anything and therefor can't either watch vid's off the net nor download any new programs. if you want to enter make it play on media player, it cant be that hard and with a prize fund thats alreay at £150 with 3 more lots of prizes to come i'm sure you can be bothered to sort it oakley - you've got a while to get your arms fit for it mate
  10. f**k me that is so cheap i might come... where would we need to fly to? i've flown over there before and know my way around zagreb so can sort myself out trains and coaches etc but where would i be best flying to and where would the coach pick me up?
  11. one of my mates has given up trying to pull - good job really it was getting painful to watch his constant failure...
  12. i'm very interested in putting some work your way drop me an email and we can have a chat tom - spunkey_monkey_boy@yahoo.com cheers
  13. someone at the tyks on sunday had a front wheel like benito's. didn't think much of it at the time but should have asked where it came from...
  14. ok, prize fund comfirmed so far: 3x LAS piss pots as worn by the LAS team riders tim stedman, tom johnstone and numerous others as soon as theirs arrive (RRP £24 each) 3x howies freeridetrials_club t shirts (RRP £25 each) we're also looking at sorting out some shiny new heatsink prizes so get your thinking caps on and get some entries in cheers tom
  15. got a personal gripe against mjcycles? they might not be a trials specialist but they ride just as much as the guys at selectbikes and are bloody good when it comes to sorting bits out for you. this sunday mike drove all the way from warrington to addingham just because he'd agreed to bring some parts over for a couple of us...
  16. try all all the way, they are considerably better than maxis...
  17. if your buying parts go to mountain equipment co-op, they have shit cheap bike bits but work out the exchange because some of the stuff is dirt cheap and other stuff really isn't...
  18. yes i do thank you! what i'm pointing out is how it would be nice if the same prize rules applied right through the comp. why not split the money throughout all the classes, surely £30 isn't going to draw in the big riders any more than normal? i'm asking alot of questions because i find it hard to understand why the series has potentially crippled itself by running alongside the tykes. if you dont want the tykes boys there fair enough but i'm not into segregation in trials, i want every rider in the UK to ride together and in unity not bitching about each other etc and the only way this can happen is if we all work towards a common goal. the way i see the prize money thing is that dave has put prize money up for elite only, look at who enters elite and it happens to be his son. now i'm not bothered if thats his motivation or not and i don't really care but it certainly doesn't look good to lesser riders when the big boys get cash prizes and the rest of us dont. i'm also a bit annoyed that i can't compete in a series i've been really looking forward to and excited about entering because their dates clash with the tykes. theres alot of questions about this years ymsa's that are left un answered and in trying to pull the trials community together what we need is honestly and openess between riders, clubs and organisers. i may be the only one with the balls to come on the forum and ask the questions directly and out loud but everything i've said on here has been muttered by a number of other riders elsewhere. in terms of the event in august i think thats brilliant. good on them for carrying on right through. hopefully i'll get to catch up with the odd ymsa here and there. later
  19. does that not mean then that your son is going to walk away from every comp this season with a pocket full of cash? surely if your offering prize money to the elite it'd be nice to offer similar to the non elite even if its not as much. where do we find fuller details about the way the ymsa'a are being run this year? rules, prize's etc, membership, licenses etc etc...
  20. *tom sits back and waits to hear bucky is now in hospital after going crazy with waynio egging him on to go bigger and crazier* (was this a good idea?) *brainwave - someone (wayne) get chris to enter a video and we'll see if bucky can beat him in the comp*
  21. bet ashton never realised he'd start bike racism over the colour of the most popular bike available...
  22. get everyone to enter. prizes so far are up to the value of £150 and thats just off one sponsor and from club funds, we've got 3 more sponsors to talk to. theres going to be alot of kit up for grabs here people. i'm looking forward to the entries coming in, should be seeing alot of talent in all three categories and i want to see a real mix of abilities and riding styles, everything from uci comp style riding to crazy bmx influenced street. dont be put off because other 'good' riders are entering, theres 3 categories so that everyone has a shot at the prize fund
  23. well your obviously very set on these dates so theres nothing we can do this year but skip some of your trials. maybe next year you could liase with biketrialUK and sort the dates problem out. i understand moto trials has comps clashing with each other but this isn't moto trials its biketrials and theres more than enough weekends in the year for comps to not clash. all it takes is a little inter club liason (the whole point of biketrialUK yes?) and we can all make the most of all the hard work all the organisers put in... hope your championships go well this year, just a shame more riders wont be able to do the whole series. oh yeah and can you confirm a rumour i heard that ymsa are offering prize money for the comps this year? tom
