  1. I'd assume it was just a silver try-all rim. I don't think i've ever heard of a "tryall brushed rim".
  2. You beauty, I've been loving riding the last few weeks. It will be good to get you out so we can sit round and chat shit instead of riding. Back to front hops. The classic saying of practice practice practice can't be left not said. Its like everything the more you try the better you get.
  3. I found facing down a very slight slope helped me a lot. It forces you to lean forward more. If you find a kerb where it slopes to nothing that might help.

It makes me laugh when people say they don't want to be a senior member. Everyone wants to be a senior member really. Why wouldn't you? I don't think I'll ever get to be one because I was a naughty boy in the past and I probably still do a few naughty things but I haven't had a warn for years. In fact I don't even think this account has had any warns at all. I've got no idea where i'm going with this I think I just wanted to moan about not being a senior member ha ha.
  5. I've wondered for a while why he was talking to that blonde piece in one of his other videos when he does that drop.
  6. Do you mean I said "go on sidehop it!"? or do you mean Anal in riding shock in Kazzer? I think it was Wayne saying "go on sidehop it!" not sure though because I wasn't there lol.
  7. I'm personally not going on whats theoretically better I'm explaining my experience. And i've found that If a brake is too stiff it dosen't work very well but, i've found the same if a brake is too flexy. When I had V brakes on my first Leeson they were SD7's with standard pads and a smooth rim. I got a new Leeson and had Ultimates on that. I found the Ultimates were not as good as the SD7's I personally think it was because they were too stiff. Like I say this is just what i've noticed riding for the last 8 years.
  8. Thats in the physics world when you add people into the equation everything changes. If I pull a brake thats too hard and hurts my finger then I wont get the best out of my brake. I'm not a machine I don't apply the same amount of force everytime I pull the brake. Again if I pull a brake that is too spongey then its going to hit the bar or the seat stays will just felx out of the way and make the brake slip. What i'm trying to say is I think there is an optimal stiffness to the perfect brake. If its too hard then the rim will push back (so to speak) on my finger and stop me pulling the brake so hard. Obviously this is only in a hydraulic brake. I think thats why V brakes have so much hold because the cable flexs a bit. I dunno I might be talking shit but this is how it all works in my head.
  9. Another thing id like to add is I think the amount of brake pad material makes a noticeable difference as well, If you've got a brand new set of pads that are 6mm thick then there's going to be 6mm of material to push into the grind etc. but if you've got worn out pads that are only 3mm thick then there is less pad to mould its self into the nooks and cranny's.
  10. I've found it varies myself, I've had solid feeling brakes that were crap and flexy brakes that were good and vice versa. I think it all depends on your frame. If a frame is too flexy then a booster will help but some brakes can be too stiff with a booster. I'm not talking theoretically here this is what i've found through my own experience. I think it also comes down to how hard your pads are too. I remember having heatsink coust pads in cnc backing on a coust frame with a heatsink booster and that brake felt so hard it really hurt when you pulled it. The brake was awful aswell. However brown koxx bloxx with no booster was amazing. Then I changed my brake mounts to echo cnc things and the brake went poo ha ha. I think the fact of the matter is, is that there is an optimal break stiffness and flex ratio. IF you think about when a frame flexes out then it flexes back in aswell and I think that has something to do with the braking performance. I think someone who's at uni should do a study on it lol.
  11. Just under 2 years late mate.
  12. Bloody hell that was an epic video. Some amazing riding there. Well done.
  13. I'd have thought sun for the yellow ones and moon for the white ones like someone had already said.
  14. Its never too late to start mate. I'm 24 myself but i've been riding for about 8 years. I'm not great at trials but I enjoy doing it. If ask on here i'm sure you'll be able to find riders local or not too far away from you. I've met some great people through riding trials and made some really good friends, I say give it a go but don't expect to be a great rider straight away it takes time to learn things and lots of practice. The whole point of riding for me is to enjoy myself, weather thats doing something on my bike, fixing my bike or even sitting on my bike chatting shit with the boys. Anyway I hope you give it a go. One last thing if you stay interested and get into the members section it might be worth you while looking at getting a second hand bike you get a lot more for your money.
  15. Oh lord. Ha ha its great looking back at old vids man. I didn't realise how many I was in until before when you showed me. I did not think I was in that many vids lol. Ah well Thanks for sticking all these up man I'm sure some people will enjoy them.
  16. When did they build the othe side? lol.
  17. Man up you ponce lol ha ha only messing mate. I've had the sick feeling of smashing my shin but I don't think i've ever hurt myself enough to pass out or anything like that. I've been pretty lucky thought to be honest. You may have been lacking food or something. Thats all I can think of but i'm not a doctor lol.

Thats very sad to read. It must be a horrible feeling for his parents not knowing why such a tragic thing should happen to their son. I never had the pleasure of meeting Robert but I really liked him from his posts on here. I never even met him or spoke to him a lot but I really do miss the guy so I can't imagine what his close friends and family are going through.
  19. Thefletch, I know you are not american I was just asking you a stupid question like you did to me. To be honest arguing about it is silly really. I remember the days when I'd be getting all wound up and going at you hammer and tongs but now i'm not arsed ha ha. Lets just forget it dude I was being funny with you. Its not really a big deal to be honest. I think I got a bit wound up because it annoys me a bit when people use Americanisms because they arnt American they just do it because they see it on the tele. To be honest I probably do it aswell without realising it. Anyway no harm done lets just forget it. Thanks go to Pocket Rocket for sticking up for me. Lets all just be buddies and get on with things, deal?
  20. Oh my god I didn't know Americans did their dates that way... Of course I already knew that you f**king retard. days, months, years makes a hell of a lot more sence than months, days, years. Are you American?
  21. It wasn't 9/11 either it was f**king 11/9.
  22. Go figure you american wannabe ponce. Only messing but that is a pretty american thing to say.
  23. Whoops for got to comment on this quote.... I wish man your Whoreking impression is amazing. ALICE? WHO THE FU CK IS ALICE?
