Agreed. Its soooo hard to find music that goes with competition riding. Quite possibly the hardest stuff to edit.

I still work at Birdworld as an all-rounder - catering, retail etc as I've worked there since I was like 16 - its been a job to see me through my education but not to fund my education if you see what I mean. I guess its not the best but not the worst (£5.75/hour) but I do want to leave but I can't at the mo as im still getting into the industry as a freelance camera operator/assistant, so there's not consistent work.

Great quality! Nice to see DVCPro HD in use, not really seen much of it to be honest. In future please just use 16:9. I know its just to fit your website layout, but I just find it a bit frustrating.

I find myself riding on my own loads. Mostly skate park stuff though so im always around BMXers which in a way is good inspiration. But yeah riding alone can get boring...

LMAO I bet the 'official' track photographer was fuming! Apparently he gets really annoyed when people take pics of the cars going round Combe, as he pays to take the photos. I saw him shaking his head when the Alfa I had rigged with bullet cams drove past him - not photos but I still think he saw them as cameras (which they are) - a bit shallow really, i recon he should lighten up lol! Great pics! If I had a decent car id totally be up for this!

Yeah background processes... also it sounds like you've got a nackered and/or a seriously fragmented hard drive. Defrag the drive and then try re-capturing your footage, or uploading as you say. Better still, invest in an external drive, or just a secondary drive.

Yeah that XPS looks good. For editing in HD you can easily get away with 2gb of RAM. When you talk about HD, im guessing you'll be shooting using an HDV or AVCHD camera. HDV uses the same bitrate as DV, so pretty much any modern computer with a decent processor + 2gb RAM will be more than suitable for editing HDV. I think AVCHD uses a lower bitrate than HDV so you should be fine with that as well.

Yeah really good last episode! Getting Series 2 on DVD for sure, already got Series 1, which in some ways (I think), was a little better than S2.
