I nearly always just get the ticket on the train. In Manchester they're not arsed. When the conductor asks for tickets, you just ask really nicely to buy a ticket and it's cool. No-one's ever mentioned fines at all, despite what the posters say. You can always just say you got on at a small station with no office (if there are any on the line, obviously).

Phones4u had obviously got a big delivery of them, they were pimping them to the max today. My mate has a 6280, seem nice but I'm not convinced. In fact I'm not really convinced by any phones at the moment, but it's time for a new one so I have to make my mind up.

You can change the setting somewhere. Right click on the desktop and properties, it's in there somewhere, I think on the Appearance tab. You can change the colours for most things. But I don't have a PC to check that on.

Yeah, I just cancelled my contract with O2. In fact, you have to send a letter including your name, address, number and signature, to PO box 242, Houghton Regis, LU5 5WA. They won't let you do it over the phone. Really stupid. So it's new phone time for me, anyone got any thoughts? Might get a w810i.

Sennheiser have a very good reputation but I must say I am disappointed by the mx500s I have. They do the job but I don't believe they are anything special. And I saw some being sold for £7, which annoyed me when I spent £20 on them...

It might be difficult anyway, Sky refused to put a dish on our house because it's a big old Victorian house and it's too tall As for that Simpsons, I thought it was mildly amusing, like most of the Simpsons these days. Worth watching, but not particularly exciting. Ricky Gervais sounded a bit stupid I thought. I usually like the guy (The Office, Extras and his stand ups are all amazing), but in that episode he seemed really tense sort of, not relaxed at all.

I'm pretty sure you can also set up a bluetooth connection to your phone and use the GPRS off that to get internet. But it's rediculously expensive, something like 3mb = 1pound. Just go outside the place and look for a signal you can pick up on your wireless

How were you using MSN before? In the connection options for MSN, have you got a proxy set up? If so you need to remove that.

Should I get one? O2 said I can't order one until the 14th. But I might get one. The only SE phone I've had was a t610 aaaaages ago. And it was nice. But I don't care about it being a music player, what else can it do?

It's true. It's quite a common thing to miss a fractured scaphoid (one of the small wrist bones) on an x-ray, and if the doc does miss it then you can stop the blood supply and you're in trouble. Dunno how common it is tohugh. Maybe you'd have to have an operation on it later. I doubt you'd lose your hand though. But yeah, get it checked out. Go to a GP. If you're not registered with them, you can get an appointment as a temporary resident (and the bill goes to your normal GP). I've only ever had to do that once but it was very easy. No point pretending it hurts more than it does though. Funnily enough the doctors do stuff that's in your best interests.

I don't think so with a Sony-Ericcson. You need a terminator dongle (ebay, £15 ish) or go to your local shop.

Yeah, when I did that to mine, I just had to ring a number and you get through to some machine. Then you tap in your phone number and some other details and it gives you it there and then. Pretty quick and painless. If that's not working then I guess you'll just have to wait. Stupid O2. Maybe try customer services (be prepared for hours on hold).

Not sure what the difference is in the software, but like I said if you're clever enough you can upgrade the software on the k750 to the same as what's on the w800. You know, like Walkman? Music player... Sony have shoved that branding onto their new phones.

It's on contract though so it wouldn't make any difference which I got, they're all free (when you sign up for another year ). Difference between the 750 and the 800 - not a lot besides the walkman branding I think. I think the 800 comes with a bigger memory card and obviously it looks different. The supplied headphones might be different too. Apart from that, I *think* the only difference is in the software on the phone, and I believe you can change the 750 to think that it's a w800i.

What's the best Sony-Ericsson phone out now then, bearing in mind I couldn't care less if it plays music or not. I have an iPod for that

It's probably legit, but it's coming from China (=long wait) and postage is £30 (including required insurance ). So it's not that cheap after all. If you need/want a PDA and a new phone, you could probably do worse. I don't know about that particular one though. P.S. I'm after a new phone too. I don't want it to be a video recorder or anything stupid like that. I want something that's nice, small, fairly simple. A radio would be nice, but that's about all I would want I reckon. Here's the choices: Samsung d500/d600/z510/z320i/s500i/s400i/p300 Sony Ericson k750i/w800i/w810i/w550i Moto V3i/V3/V3x/pebl/slvr Nokia 6230i/N70 I'm thinking I'll probably just be boring and get a Samsung d600 like every other f**ker, unless anyone tells me why I should get something different
